Last day of freedom

I am back! haha realise i will always blogged during my long MC. lol
well, so it doesnt really means good things right?

this time round its really not very good but well i did had a good 12 days of rest.

I was in very great pain last last thurs and was admitted to Gleneagles after being referred by my family doctor. Did an 1hr operation with full body anesthetic! after that i need to stay in hospital overnight and was discharged the next noon.

this is my surgery in my life, quite an experience haha.

Before my operation, I was actually given an pain killer injection and I went to sleep, a very nice sleep throughout the whole afternoon. I have to wait so long because I had lunch and I need to fast for at least 5 hrs before the operation. So at about time for my operation i was woke up by nurse. still blur blur, i was told to move myself to the next bed which they will push me to the OT. then they put on those paper caps on my head and feet. Though I still feel very giddy, i can feel my heartbeat increases and i start to shiver! haha

I remembered how scary it is to be pushed on the bed here and there, and finally to the operating theatre with those big lights that we always see on dramas haha.

I was quite surprise that the anesthetist gave me the GA by injecting near my palm. I still rem I asked him "not smell one meh?" haha before that I was still worrying how much i need to sniff? too little wait i wake up half way how? too much then i can't wake up after long sleep how? well after the injection i can't recall much already. Because I was still giddy from the pain killer and sleep, it seems to me like I am just continuing my sleep and i just sleep.. lol

when I woke up again, i felt like going to the toilet, and just nice there is a nurse beside me, so i ask for help. I was told that it is normal that after the injection I will feel like gg to toilet but actually its a false alarm. i was like huh? and I asked the nurse: "you mean i finish my operation?" haha what a silly question right? but i am glad its over. really love GA man. haha thou i know its quite hurtful to our body.. but i still rem when i lye on the operating platform with so many people around me, i was really shivering for the worst time in my life! I can imagine how can I go through the whole operation if not for GA. haha.

my mum accompany throughout the whole day on that thurs and my relatives from HK/china called several times to check how is my condition..

Jenny even brought me lunch and visited me one day last week and brought me a book and dvd, scare that I am bored..

I was really quite bored, i even got sicked of the wii.. haha

oh yar! on the day I was discharged, the very night I received a very very nice hamper.

see..... so nice and sweet right??

inside got a dome, 3 bottles of bird nest, 3 bottles of 雪蛤, 3 bananas, 1 apple, and a lovely pot of fresh flowers, my fav - sunflowers!

haha anyway going back to work tomorrow liao.
tats why the title "last day of freedom"... haha but i think my real freedom starts tmr! cos i am really sick of staying at home the whole day.. and now after the surgery, i feel free!

oh yar lastly, today's kf birthday..
haiz wanted to ask him for lunch, but he say market was v busy and dun have time for lunch.. seeing how things goes, i can't help feeling more and more negative abt us.. =(

Was chatting with huimian and got to know that she and meiling actually fell out because of some misunderstandings.

well.. it was a good rest =)

i felt i just been thr a quality week 8.. haha

well I've recovered.. thou it was a good break, but i would rather i do not have a second time again!

it was the worst sorethroat i ever had in my life. more tha 10 ulcers in my throat. everytime i swallow its like using a knife slicing your throat away..

despite eating lesser, i still din lose any weight.. haha

well but I am glad i collected my degree on Wednesday after seeing doctor =)
If not for the week's MC, i dunno when i will be able to collect them man.. hahaha let me show you first if u haven gotten urs ! lalala

today my doctor told me this.....

"Hand Foot Mouth Disease.. Confirmz!"

wth?!?!?! i how old liao... still kena this kind of kiddish disease..

well, as des always say i am little girl.. haha so maybe thats why..

i have been having high fever on wed.. then after that sore throat got worsen day by day.. it is so painful that i haven been eating.. now there are about more than 10 ulcers in my throat.. thats y its soooo painfull.... doctor still say that one need 3 days more to heal.. die liao.. i haven been like eating so terribly before in my whole life sia.. all the good food smell so nice and i am so hungry. yet! i can't manage to swallow anything at all... its just so difficult!! and what can be worst?? my wisdom tooth giving me trouble at this point of time..... my right side.. haven plug out one.. its swollen and painful..... so tempted to go for another surgery plug it out once and for all... but i think now i got this HFMD no dentist will want to do also..

well basically on thurday, blisters start to surface on my fingers and toes.. and now beneath my feet.. the feeling is like u have alot of sand and stones in ur shoe when u walk..

doctor gave me a 5 day MC.. ask me stay at home dun go out.. cos its contagious.. thou not very contagious...

haiz me still haven confirm employment leh.. if 5 day MC means one week no work. meaning a quarter of my pay gonez leh.. anyway i negotiated with my boss.. hopefully my boss is nice enough to let me take medical leave.. haha..

heee. was so excited over it. i was even telling kf that i can smell my pay coming even in mid Jan.. lol. not too bad, the money came in my account on 28th Jan. heee. but now my money like all almost gone. y????? cos all went to feed my new darlingz~

hmm.. well i would say that driving is not really so fun when u have to drive the whole day, and on top of that, u will be even more tired when u are stuck in jamz. days when i drive over 100km a day is really damn tiring. my leg ache after the day so much! i finally pity those taxi driver when they drive so long a day. and i also pity molly who almost always do the driving in USA when we were all tired and shag.

beside driving, well, my work is quite okay. still knocking off on time. haha. and my senior, whom is my closest colleague, Lydia, also commented that i cope well. She is a colleague that i talked most in the company, often i call her jeh jeh. she is 5 year older than me, but her life experience is so much more than me! She came from Malaysia, and she was previously a air stewardess in Japan Airlines. She is with Speedmark for 3 years now. I feel that she is really pretty and is a thinker, not a vase! She told me that being air stewardess was her childhood ambition. But she say that she feel that the difference working as a air stewardess for 5 years and in Speedmark for 5 years is that being after 5 years of air stewardess life, u came out with nothing! u are still experience-less. whereas if after 5 years of work in Speedmark, what leave with u is 5 years of freight experience, which is valuable to you. and she feel that one cannot 'start' working (cos she dun consider air stewardess is working cos it comes with no experience) in her 30s.. so even thou air crew life brings her v high pay and lots of leave, but she quited after 3 years of air crew life. I really admire her, the way she plan her life and knows what she wants to do at every point of her life. It really makes me ponder what's my goal in my life!

well to end off, let me talk abt monday night...
we sent my gan ma to Zurich for her exchange..

Hope gan ma will take care of herself in Zurich, and we will all miss her!

my new job @ Speedmark..

one week has passed since i started my job.. basically i've just completed my OJT (on-the-job Training) yesterday and I am now writing my OJT report. haiz. they say only management trainee need to write. and so call mgmt trainee is the future mgmt..

well.. my office has abt 30+ people. then my sales team currently there 4 of us (incl me) and I heard 2 more sales will be coming in mid Jan.. 6 person sales team. like quite big hor? Beside my office in changi, they also have another office at Pasir Panjang. my office deals with air freight (tats y at the airport), and the pasir panjang one deals with sea freight.

travelling to work can be quite sianz cos its by bus. and TPE is always jam. wasted so much time on the road. like today, massive jam on TPE due to a 5-car accident.. resulted in a 2 hr trip to work. hahah lucky got my new DS with me. Time passes more quickly..

well, my OJT is so challenging! so many freight terms to learn.. Ex-works, FOB, DDU, DDP etc etc and etc... nv ending! then got to know what are controlled items, what are the controlled countries. then got the know the airport names.. and beside all these, my boss gave me my first assignment already. I got to build a generic marketing slides for introducing Speedmark to our new customers. there are several old ones done by various sales person. my boss say all those are not nice and so i deduce that she is expecting high on me. quote from her: "u are from smu, so presentation and powerpoint must be your forte!" =_= die lor. i suck at presentation ok... but i cant say i suck at it. so just pray hard that i do ok for the slide lor.

well, on the whole, the collegues are ok.. still din manage to talk to many of them. for work wise, its actually worse than what i imagine. well cos more and more factories are movin out of singapore. so export is going down... so freight seems like a sunset industry sia. haiz~~ the only thing i am happy about my job is that I can still go home on time. 5.30pm on the dot! hahah its good when 5.35pm u realise the office is actually quite empty liao. so at least u wont feel paiseh to leave also. hmm start work at 8.30am.. so everyday wake up at 6.30am.. becoming quite a habit liao.. then one bad thing also... gotta work on saturdays during my probation, afterwhich is alternate sat off..

tats all for now ba. feeling tired liao. gotta sleep...

heh heh.... its 2008 liao.. firstly, Happy New Year everyone...

heee.. this used to be a xmas card i made while i was in korea.. then now i just changed the words so it became a new year card hahaha..

haha can't believe it that I haven been blogging since sept 25.. tats like more than 3 months!! Can't believe I am so lazy.

And now I've been slacking (ok i am not really slacking cos i feel so busy everyday) for 1 month since i last ended my last exam. talking about last exam, haiz, I was still telling des that I wanted to blog about my last exam since i took some photos regarding exams (like the seating plan, the exam hall etc)... and then I also told yeeling that I will blog about my interesting interviews.. then I said i wanted to blog the photos I took using my bao bei canon SLR camera.. then i said i wanted to blog about my US trip(or at least finish uploading my pics for the trip) and i also said i wanted to blog about my Korea trip... hahah i can't believe i did none of them.

ok so summarise, this one month, beside finish writing that stupid 4 page comm service report (which i dragged it for 1 year hahaha), going for 2 interviews (on the same job), a 8-day korea trip, tidying my room (so that now u can only find my laptop, a calendar and a pen holder my long long table), countless times of 'IT support trips' for my parent's company... and thats all i think.. I haven even got the chance to backup my laptop so that i can format it.. I haven got the time to bring my laptop back to fujitsu since they told me that my motherboard arrived when i was half way through the term...

sianz. so many things to do yet i need to start work tmr liao... nonetheless i still feel excited over my new job.. hahaha ok will take this opportunity to blog abt my new job..

I will start working tmr at this freight forwarding company call speedmark. its a SME. chatted with a few seniors, their advice was that working in SME can be good cos normally SME working hours are more regular, and its those MNC that squeeze u to the max.. my position there is call Management Trainee but basically its Business Development and Sales.. well I am ok with doing sales only if the basic salary is high (i would consider >$2.4k high for a sales job).. haha dun like that kind where ur pay is mostly depended on commission... so poor thing lor. talking abt my work place venue.. lol its at changi Air Freight Centre.. located opp SAF ferry terminal.. thou i stay Punngol, but its not v near lor. think its even further than gg to sch... hahah lucky i asked for higher pay than what they initially told me..

Was quite happy that I got this job.. cos firstly, I din really applied for it. It came itself.. or rather I feel that it's God who gave me this job. the company got me through the resume compilation. they called me during the study week and I told them i only can attend interview after my exams.. so I attended first interview on the day after my last paper.. and i had the second interview the next day.. and I got the job liao.. really thank God! I din even need to start any job hunting at all.. dun need to write any cover letters and rewrite my resume etc...

Pay wise.. quite happy with it.. cos it came with lots of different allowances... like hp allowances, transport allowances, entertainment allowances... if u are interested to know what is my pay, can come msn me.. hahahha

hmm.. think gotta stop here. I will be having '8.30 class' everyday from tmr onwards.. so must sleep early liao. =(

I want a SLR!!!

have been super slack in my life recently... think must be cause of final sem syndrome.. lol

anyway ever since i come back from US, i think i'm quite rather determined to take up a super expensive hobby! =p learning professional photography!

so.... have been actively reading up about SLRs and am quite settled with this camera recommended by crystaline (she say is jeff recommend one la)...

THE CANON EOS 400D!!!

she say this is suitable for beginners.. think will cost me abt $1300.. but i think its worth it cos i think it will be good if i can bring a SLR to my 2 trips to HK and Korea at the end of the year!

well have been thinking and thinking for very long.. cos i feel that i should learn something first before deciding which camera to buy so that i can buy one that suits me. on the other hand, i feel that i can't learn anything without getting myself a SLR! haiz contradicting!!!

anyway my determination to learn photography leads me to my first step.. which is to go for SMUSAIC activity last friday. well, they had a basic lesson on photography, teaches stuff like aperture, ISO, focal length, exposure etc.. and i realise my current point-and-shoot SONY W70 cannot satisfy at all! none the less i still love my sony camera lah. she's been with me throughout my whole USA trip and there're pics that fred's exp camera cant capture but mine can! lol... i think i will still keep my sony (despite the fact that the dial is crazy and its getting me crazy) even when i get a SLR..

after the lesson by SMUSAIC, we went out for a photoshooting ard the school.. they say our photos will be put up for exhibition at i-forgot-where.. wonder when is it.. hopefully mine are choosen! the following are some of the photos which i liked alot.. all taken using my point-and-shoot SONY camera! enjoy!!!

my last semester in SMU

time really flew......

so fast its my last sem in SMU.

remember that i only got to know abt blogging in SMU.
and i set up my own blog in my first semester in SMU..
and now.. its my 7th and last sem.......

got back from the States on wed's night.. 2 months is not very long.. but yet alot of things have changed, at least for church i think there are so much changes.. even the floorplan of level3 changed.

enjoyed so much in the States. its an experience that i will never forget..

life is so amazing hahhaa. this moment u dislike this person, next moment u find yourself talking and confiding to this person the most. and u thot u are close to this friend, but actually not that close afterall..

actually there are so many things in USA i wanna blog abt and i think i shud cos its so worth blogging... it gonna be fun if i were to read what i blog abt my trip like 5 years or 10 years down the road.. or maybe dun need so long cos now i read what i wrote 2 years ago can make me laff like siao... haiz but then i am just plain lazy.........

anyway this is my timetable for this sem... if u wanna know. haha decided to include my bids as well.. show ppl how i showhanded my e$... din really showhand lor.. still got 16+ left.....

and so my roomies nv forget my birthday at all!

lingxin explain to me that they din deliberately forget my birthday.. the incident goes like that..

on 6july, its the first day we reach san franc.. so when we check in to our hotel, theres a starbucks downstairs and they thot they can get a cake there. but to their disappointment, theres no cakes there...

then on 8jul, last day in san franc, we planned to go cheesecake factory.. they actually plan to celebrate there.. lingxin say they even brought the candles there....... hahahha and the reason that she told me, i gonna pengz lor.

she say, when all the 3 of them saw the cheesecakes at the cheesecake factory, they all gone crazy and they totally forgot abt celebrating my birthday. best leh. i really wonder are the 2 guys really guys or not. can be so crazy abt cheesecakes hur....

anyway, really love ya all.......... thanks for the celebration.. and video is on the way!!

"celebrated" my birthday in USA this year. thot it gonna be special. and i guess you guys are curious about how i spent my birthday.......

it was a v peaceful birthday spent. or rather more of forgotten.
dunno y, i guess it has something to do with age? i feel that birthdays are getting more and more undesirable. i recall my last birthday was a disaster.. initially des brought me to outback, which i have been wanting to go since dunno when, and it was our first time celebrating my bd.. but something happen between me and my mum and we had a big quarrel.. i rem in the end i cried throughout the whole dinner and i din have any appetite to eat anything at all.

yeap and that was last year......what about this?

well no doubt i shud be thankful that i am able to spent my 24th birthday out of Singapore and in a wonderful country call USA, and in a v v v beautiful city call San Francisco and Yosemite National Park.. but then it was not as if it was planned for my birthday. and well if u know me enuff, i am not that kind of person who will organise a birthday chalet or party to invite friends to come. so i din really say plan how a wanted my birthday to be..... but then..... hahaha din know it turn out to be like this......

woke up at 5am......
drove to Yosemite...
Yosemite hot weather (40 degrees!!) almost melted me.
got lost while on the way to san fran after Yosemite..
had KFC for dinner.....
finally reach hotel at about 11pm......

k lah lingxin got wish me by giving me a surprise notepad note on my comp while i was bathing.. other than that, serveral close friends like ivy dear, corinne, joyce, leemin also gave me their birthday greetings..... but abit sad that my roomies all forgot abt my birthday.... :( when they dun even rem my bd, how am i suppose to "celebrate" my birthday leh?

then des got my timing totally wrong. and at first i thot my dad forgot abt my bd too, but in the end realise he sent an ecard which din reach my mailbox. grrr.......

hello everybody!!!!

thanks for all your well wishes before i fly!

after flying for more than 48 hrs..... (flying plus transiting) i finally reached New Jersey on 13 June 2pm (singapore time 14 June 2am)...

the journey was so jia lat cos our flights from washington to NJ got cancelled twice... twice ok?! due to storm.....

in the end we had to even sleep in the airport overnight. cant get a hotel room cos all the flights are cancelled and so all the hotel near the airport had been taken up... lucky we got goup the blanket from plane so we can use it when we sleep on the chairs in the airport.. lol

from 3 boarding passes to 6 boarding passes. rocks right?

and first time ever, din bathe, din brush my teeth for 48 hours. when i brush my teeth after 48 hrs, first time see that the foam from my mouth are yellowish. yucks!!!!!!

hahaha have to sleep soon cos i need to wake up at 4.30 am tmr morning for my tour again. will blog more when we reach LA next friday i guess..

met up with lingxin, fred and allan again.. this time we made our ISIC from the STA, then head down to NTU to collect our packages and discussed abt our trip!

yeah........ my International Student Identity Card. hopefully it returns me great offers. spent 15 bucks on it k..

7.30am: check out then drive to Cape May for sighseeing (since its just 30 min drive away and atlantic city's shops not open yet)
11am: head back to atlantic city for more shopping and makan again.

yeah..... no more ben & jerry's liao... realise that ben & jerry seems not so popular in the US leh. cos the tour agency that we booked for our canada tour (recommended by my auntie) have not heard of Ben & Jerry's Ice cream factory. then my auntie din even heard of ben and jerry's before... haiz and its very far.... need 5 hr car ride from my aunt's place.. so we scape it liao.

was tidying my laptop and home desktop. and all of a sudden i realise i couldn't found some photos..

i rem myself going to Shanghai during the 2005 summer holidays. it was a damn short trip cos i was just tagging along with my dad who was gg there for business. i even remember myself buying the gucci coin pouches for my schneider boss, Edna and Florence..

i went to check my passport, and yes, there's a chop from Pudong airport. arrived on 9 June 2005 and depart on 11 June 2005. it was a short trip but i am sure i did take photos. aries called a media director, and i am known for bringing a camera with me whereever i go...

BUT

how come i can't find the photos i took in shanghai?

i searched high and low.. finding every possible place.
i even went to search option and select that i wanna find photos that were taken during that period. and it return me zero results.

i pondered upon it...... should i blog ??

since i can't sleep at 3.30am ....... well might as well..........

1.5 years have gone.....

sometimes... or lots of the times, i am wondering, and worrying.... how many more 1.5 years can we be together?

in this 1.5 years, there are so many ups and downs.. and i must admit that it even happen within myself. sometimes i became so down that i just wanted to give up everything. for no reason somemore. maybe at that point of time, i just don't love anymore.

is this normal? can anyone tell me?

sometimes i wonder are we suitable for each other? like right from the beginning, even before we started, i already pointed out that it seems that we've v diff lifestyle. things he like to do i dun like. things i like to do, he dun seems to be much interested also.

at times if u ask me what i like about him, i also dunno.

then sometimes i also dunno what he likes about me.. then i have a bad habit that when i dunno what he likes about me i will conclude that maybe he dun love me. maybe he just continue to love cos xi guan le.

I guess i can be quite erm.. how to say.... i think i am quite xiao qi ba.. i can be angry over things like having a dinner with the mic peeps without letting me know.. well i am angry cos when i called him in the evening, i was actually v pek cek about having to cook dinner at home, and so i called him. he said he was wearing his shoes. ok. and he said he was going out for dinner.. so with his parents i thought. and only in the middle of the night then i found out that he was actually out for dinner with the mic peeps, and how i found out? from their blogs and tagboards. yeah this is nothing wrong.. and its not like jian bu de ren, but i just cant understand y din u just let me know when u said u were wearing ur shoes? think that its not necessary? well yeah.. maybe its not necessary.. but all i want is to be updated of your whereabouts.... and i hate to be the last one to know about things u know? esp about my own boyfriend. and yeah........ last one to know that actually my bf does have a blog. or maybe i shudn't even know at all cos he might want it to be a private space.

its really a pain to get to know things out of blogs.. and tagboards.... yeah so what am i to you? maybe i also just hoping to be like your friend, maybe closer one... where u will tag occasionally, no actually i know u tag quite often. cos u are someone who got lots of yi jian. tagging at gf blog is a taboo is it? or is it that u got no comments about my life (what i write in my blogs) at all?

sometimes i wonder what he felt about me seriously. did i do anything that let him down? maybe not a big thing but a small thing like flying plane for a date... or maybe is there an instance when i am not sensitive enough to his feelings and hurt him? maybe for example... like what i blogged so far. like so little thing and yet make such a big fuss.

what kind of gf am i actually? really hope to find out........

then again back to the same old problem....... where solution seems further and further away from us..

its kinda painful, stressful and tired to hold a time bomb..... knowing that somehow it will explode someday and yet i can't bring myself to put it down. and at the end of the day, i know that somehow it will explode even if i choose to continue carrying it or to put it down..

Shine Farewell

Shine went back to Korea le. went back last wed night..
he held a farewell party for himself at his house (and its potluck AGAIN..) last last sat. but i din go cos i was held up in MIC exco camp..

yeah anyway met up with him and william last tues afternoon at Ben&Jerry before he fly..

william and i are actually quite un-convinced of shine's reason to go back. cos initially Shine told me that his plans after exams was to go cambodia, then come back, and then will go Bali for one month to learn surfing then come back to singapore and then go back to korea in abt June..

so when he called me last last thurs that he is going back to Korea, i am kinda shock and wonder is he having some troubles at home or what.

so when we asked him y is he changing his plans, he told us: "Because I'm sick." omg, then i became even more worried.. is he getting some serious illness that he need to get medication straight away therefore he need to go back to korea?

so i probed somemore. He told us that after he came back from cambodia, he was having fever for days and having diarrhea.. when i asked him did he go and see a doctor, he shake his head.. he say he is ok now and will see a doctor tmr. then i asked him when is he going back, "Tonight." lol.... what that means? haha dun trust singapore doctors eh?? so just because of this, he canceled his bali plans and go back to Korea? then fever for days still dun wanna see doc, but will see doctor when he say he is feeling ok already... quite ridiculous right?

william and i were still discussing abt it after we went home that day...... haiz really worried for him.. dunno is he hiding something from us or not.

anyway, thou there might be chance of meeting him again, but i think possibility quite low given the fact he stay in Pusan, not Seoul.. and possibility of me gg to Pusan is almost zero hahaha. yeah. so i think that might be the last time i will see him in my life.

Shine is the first exchange student i am more closely related with. so close that even des often get jealous and keep complaining abt me meeting him too much.

well... what can i do with an exchange student? i am not red head.

its just that he is simply too warm. and he's got super high EQ. He is warm to everyone. despite of language barriers, he still have more than 50 friends in singapore. You really feel that he is sincere to u when u talk to him. and that he is someone u really wanted to give a hand to whenever he has trouble or what.

some info abt him and us...

He came to SMU in 2006/07 term1 which is last term and he stayed in SMU for 2 terms, ie one year.

I met him during Music east and west...

there was another 2 Korea exchange students also, the other 2 of them only stayed in SMU for one term and left liao. one of them smoke and the other was super quiet. so i din really talked to them also.

then after that we took up Rondalla in Music east & west as our concentration. we've to do an emsemble of different rondallas and its so happen that shine, me and liling were playing the same parts. so we often prac together and chat together. sometimes we also meet up outside of class to have lunch and extra practices.

and thanks to him, i went to city harvest church for the first time.. for the Christmas service last year. there, it really seems that i was the "exchange student" and he was the Singaporean. felt so handicapped!

and my parents took us to JB for a short excursion as well..... see, he even know how to deal with aunties and uncles!

and he invited us to his 25? or 26 birthday party..... haha then we realise how popular he is.. he got so many friends!! i think if i were to have a birthday party, i wouldnt have that amt of friends coming also... let alone being a foreigner!

yup.. and thats all about him and me....... haha thats really sounds abit like as if he..... choi!! lol i know he will be fine. my mum say he is that kind of ppl where u dump him in desert he also can survive one.

btw, he did mentioned to us that he is gg to Beijing for summer study in abt July.. lol... everyone is in Beijing.. hee..

yeah! des postponed his flight cos his internship is postponed by one week. now flying on 11may instead.

haiz had a small quarrel and unhappiness over this matter thou.
cos initially he dun intend to postpone his flight, even thou his another working partner, mq, who will be working on the same proj as him is changing her flying date. well i kinda feel that he dun seem to dun bear to leave singapore at all. erm or me. or whatever. like mq will say like "yeah, i wanna postpone my flight cos wo hen she bu de." well maybe thats becos mq is gal. well but are all guys like that huh?? well.. anyway he still changed his flights in the end... hahahha

then i am also not doing any 3A anymore. yeah! decided not to take up comp simulation. cant stand YKK teaching sia. he really dun teach one. hahaha anyway in the first place why i wanna take CS is bcos i left 4 mod and my gpa is currently 2.98. so die die must go pass 3.0 when i grad. and for me to grad with 3.0, i think must get all the remaining 4 mods B or B+... which i am not v confident in..... moreover, when i say all B, its when i put quite optimistic results for my this sem mods. so if my this sem results wasnt as good as what i thot it will be, then maybe i need to get like 4 A- to get to 3.0. which is crazy. so i was thinking of taking CS, hopefully i can score an A like my BP like that. so i was waiting for my results to come out, so like if my results were even better than what i planned, then i dun take CS.. if my results are worst than what i planned, then i need CS.

haiz, but then until the start of the summer class, i only knew 2 out of 5 of my results! damn. and one of them i score better than expectation, the other is lower than my expectation. lol so how? then some more after 2 crash classes, i think its impossible to get A for CS lor. everyone in my class seems so zai. i think at most i only get a B+ for it. then whats the point of spending this $800 on top of my $3000++ sch fees next term?! then somemore, i think i'll sure be darn slack next term if i only take 3mods, cos i've been taking 5 mods since like 2 years ago.. think suddenly drop to 3 mod, i will be too slack, then i wont study, then i will flung everything... hahaha

of cos last reason of not taking is cos of the timing lah. m,w,f 8.30am leh. can die lor. hahaha nonetheless, i think CS is really useful. if its offered in normal term, i confirm take one. so sad only avail in summer.

yeah talking about results..... by now, gotten back 4 out of 5 mods. still not bad, so far this 4 right, 2 got better than what i expected, one within expectation and one below expectation. the one below expectation is SP. haiz scored a B for it and was in the 13percentile lor.. wth... was hoping a B+ and so i went to look for the prof with Merrylyn....

he told me that actually i did ok. exam ok, project also ok.. and i am close to B+... so whats the prob? its peer evaluation. cos our marks for projects are derived by multiplying the percentage u get for ur peer evaluation and the marks the grp get for the project. he said the whole class almost everyone else got 100% for their peer evaluations. so only our grp. there are marks left on the table like that.... haiz we din take note of that. and our SP grp dynamics are damn jialat. some grp member always din turn up for proj and always dun wanna co-operate. its not that i din do my work and get a lousy peer evaluation and end up with a lousy score. but what can I do? so i pointed out to the prof the flaw in the peer evaluation system, hoping that he can pull me up to B+.

"well, i feel that this peer evaluation is not really accurate in calculating a grp member's effort in the group. cos honestly speaking, IF i am the free rider, when i am doing the peer evaluation, i jolly well know that I will be marked down. so if it doesn't make sense if i give others a high score. since I know that people will mark me down, then might as well i mark ppl down first."

i truly believes that's the reason why i am so-near-yet-so-far from my B+...

but the sucky prof replies are:

"well, this boils down to how u manage a group..."

dotz leh. this is SERVICE PROCESSES. not mpw or what. talk about people management eh. and seriously i think he take this evaluation too seriously. and its really so unfair to the few of us where we worked so far and yet being pulled down by this kind of ridiculous thing...

yeah. 2.32AM. just finish typing slides for tmr talk. in school. in sess cr 3.4...
i am dying lor. had games tryout the whole day. had interviews from 6pm to 12am. really sit at that chair for 6 hrs. listening to diff people talk. its worse than mugging!! at the end of the interviews i got backache. i dun even get backache during mugging.

haiz.. recall reading ade's blog post one year ago when she also blogged about how sad she was that nobody wanna lead MIC anymore, and that every time whenever she want to approach us or call us to discuss about taking the P position, everyone avoided her.

haiz... and bei ju always like to chong yan.............

this year's candidates for new exco some are really damn funny.

Q for PR position: If there are 2 other candidates for PR, what makes u think that you are more suitable for the job?
A: Because I am more handsome.

4 of us (interviewers) really cannot stop laughing for 1 min leh! esp me lor............. the interviewee tone is not joking one. he is v serious and say "I'm more handsome." lol....... how cute lah!!

haiz, other than that, our conclusion for the candidates are mostly negative.

Q for P/VP/Events Dir position: Why do you want to take up this 3 positions?
A: cos they are challenging
Q: if you are not offered any of these 3 positions, would u be interested in other positions?
A: no. cos the rest of the positions are not challenging enough.

this person is the worst of all. and he say that MIC did nothing but to chill out.... and he say that P is slack. wtf! and he even say MIC dun have vision, motto or whatsoever.. pls lor. we have. only HE dunno. and he is the only person who say want to be P. all of us think that he shouldn't even be in the Exco at all.

Q for marketing pos: so how committed you think you are to the club as a marketing dir? do u have any other commitments?
A: erm.. currently i only have choir prac which is not alot, only 2 times a week and campus radio recording once a week.

haiz..... comparing with last year selection, although we dun have alot of candidates, as in we dun even have enough candidates to fill up all the positions and in the end i still have to personally psycho people to be in the exco... but however those that volunteered to be in the Exco are all very good candidates and every single one of them after interviewing them, we know that they are up to standard for their job.

comparing to what we just heard from the interviews, although we had about 12 candidates for 11 positions, about half of them is either commitment problems or have no passion for the club at all. how sia..........

yeah. i love MIC 4th exco. we rocks!

anyway, went to Sentosa today for our MIC new exco camp tryout...

hmm.. and i guess i haven been stepping into sentosa for the past........... 9months? hahah realise alot of changes!!

Firstly is the tickets.... no more the long long white tic that we bought at the arrival centre.
Now its change to this kind of contactless card, but its made of paper actually... so its one time use, and we can bring it come. The use of this card is mainly because of the new monorail system which function now very much like a LRT system. I think the idea of using paper contactless card is very good! Ezlink should adopt this for their per trip lah...... if possible haha.. then no need to so ma fan pay one more dollar and need to refund it back.

so besides the tickets other changes i see includes like closure of arrival centre, so now tickets can be bought at a counter at the bus interchange, or there are many self service kiosk near the monorail station... really v much like taking MRT...

so now no more arrival centre, the bus from the bus interchange will go directly to the individual destinations..

then theres the new musical fountain by the sea...

and many many more......... which i dun even know where are they hahha

hahhaha for us, as usual we had scavenger hunt, beach volleyball and some stupid co-ordination game

at the end of the day, we took some funny pic before we left....

yeah and we board the new monorail on our way back!!

its really a nice weather today! so happy... and finally no rain for the day! =)

and so that marks the end of the tryout stuffs at Sentosa..
tmr we will start staying in school and sat/sun will be the actual camp!
yeah..... so friday-sunday i will be in school for camp! will be hanging ard in SESS i guess... so if u go gym, u can come look for me! hahahha

today Joyce, Crystal, Corinne and I met to go for this once-in-a-year Ben & Jerry Day!! totally rocks... we get free scoops.. and its not those small tiny scoop.. they are quite generous and gave rather big scoops!

the queue looks long.. from 2nd level all the way to the 3rd! but the queue is much faster than what we expected.. just about 5mins..

we are reaching the counters and Crystal was all out for her ice cream!!

we queue twice. So i ate Strawberry Cheesecake and Chocolate Fudge Brownie.

and after our second round.. there's this Ben & Jerry mascot walking around....... and joyce was so chor to touch its erm...... so chor!!!!! then it was even more funny when the mascot was trying to cover its teat when it walked past Joyce the second time..

nonetheless, it still take pic with us.. hahahha

and soon joyce and crystal had to go back to school.. while des came and joined corinne and I. We asked him to queue for the free ice cream too.. thou it was rather crowded then....

then i joined in the queue too to help him take 2 ice cream instead.. so we had Chunky Monkey and Sweet Cream & Cookies! yummy!!!

so after ice cream we wanted to watch Number23, but was so disappointed to find out that Cathay stop screening it liao... and cathay internet is so chor to ban GV website... so had to ask crystal to help us check GV timing from sch.. it was 2 hrs later... since its quite late so we decided to sing Ktv instead... walked over to paradiz and were disappointed for the 2nd time!! Kbox at paradiz is now only open from 7pm onwards. sad-ness!!!

hahaha think corinne was so sianz by then that she say she wanna go home liao.. so left des and I.. we went back to sch to put some stuffs back into his locker. after that i felt the sudden rush of des air tic.. they are so bo chap lor! i felt so much urgent than them even thou i wasnt even the one travelling....... i felt that by wed then they go and buy the tic maybe already sold out. des dun believe. so i asked him to call and check first. Bingo... no more tic flying on 3rd or 4th May.. left 2nd may only...... so i quickly suggest that he reserve the tickets first then go down to pay tmr............ haiz flying off earlier and earlier....... =(

and i am missing ivy and yeeling now already.. and the more i miss them, the more i can't imagine what will become of me after 2nd May... will i feel lost? sianz? sad? will i cry? cry everyday? really scare that 2nd May will come v v v soon........... =(

Ivy dear and yeeling had just board the plane to Beijing for their internship and will only be back in August...

so last sat Yeeling, Ivy, Evelyn, Weiyee, Serine, Peyshyuan and I went to Bedok 85 for our farewell dinner for Yeeling and Ivy..

and i went to send them off early in the morning just now....... hope they will be fine there and that their boss will be kind to them.. =(

well.. my exams had come to an end.

on the other hand, it marks the last day of revision days with Corinne and Crystal as they will be going on exchange next sem. And when they come back, I would have graduated.

S-A-D-N-E-S-S sia.......

therefore we kinda like treasure every single time we can have for this revision period.

come as much as i can. and we often end up not studying but just have more fun. since this is the last time we are having fun together again during revision period.

and after my paper, i went back to GSR3.5 to take pictures. GSR3.5 has the best view in the whole school.. i felt. just that the aircon there is freaking too cold. nonetheless, GSR3.5 is very popular among the muggers. I had to book the room once it passed 12 midnight, that is, the very first second of the new booking horizon. if not it will be soon taken up by others.

and i really feel like missed every single studying periods...
right back to the days where we always studied in GSR30 back in Bt Timah Campus...

and so my holidays started earlier than others....... i was so bored at home!!
and so i decided to look for them in school........

so i brought a bar of corn flakes ritter sport & went to look them up in the library (hhahha they can't tahan the coldness of GSR3.5.. so sad, wasted my efforts of the midnight rush.. lol)

well.. surprisingly tickets are selling out fast!! initially wanted to change the return flight passing by Hawaii, but the flight is full! wth... this is like 5 months....

anyway hahaha there were no other choice, so in the end we still took United Airlines..

going off on 12 June (Tues) and coming back on 15 Aug (wed, i think)

hahah since gg to my Gu GU's house, so we reach New Jersey first. therefore in the end we increase the number of transit we have again.......... lol now is 6 flights instead of 5.. hahahhaha

really never seen such a long long booking list...... everytime we see is a short slip of paper only.....

yeah.. so our plans is to stay in NJ for 10 days.. then go LA on 22 June.

haiz die.. totally out of budget. the accomodation at LA is freaking exp. the lowest it cost is USD$750 per bed per month! and that apartment lives 6 person.. imagine how much rental that apartment can bring man... then the school hostel one is even more expensive! the cheapest also cost $1300 for 6 weeks, which in the end cost about 1k for one month..

had my MIS quiz yesterday. haiz goneeeee........ 30 marks, 15 marks gone. and its 30% of my final grade. luckily i got 49 out of 50 for my in-class assignments which contributes 50%.. lol...

anyway yesterday after the quiz ended at 2.30pm i met my 3 other USA buddies to go to NATAS travel fair at suntec in hope of finding a cheap air tic to USA. at first i thot it will be impossible for us to get a good deal there since the NATAS fair focuses more on package travel. the air tic to USA are advertising on newspapers at cutting throat prices, but are all 1 mth ticket..

my other 3 buddies went at 10am in the morning! since i have a quiz from 12.30 to 2.30, so i can only join them after that. when i got there i was delighted that they've got a good deal!

had been trying to book online but online booking doesnt allow much flexibility..

yeah.. we had an offer, UA flight with the following destination
1) sin>narita(tokyo)
2) narita > new york (stopover for 6 days)
3) new york > LA
returning:
4) LA > narita
5) narita > SIN

total of 5 flights!! first time had such a long booking slip!!!!

however......... lingxin's father actually opposed to her taking an American Airlines. but luckily pricebreaker people is nice enuff to help us look for an alternative, maybe cathay or wat.. and would get back to us.

anyway, went to Aries 21st birthday last saturday. it was held at Frujch!! so cool lor.. bao the whole frujch for her bd...

pictures with bd gal and her cake. anyway it was very sad... cos i din manage to stay till cake cutting... initially had a quarrel with my mum about this coming to aries bd thingy. cos my dad was away on business trip, so left my mum alone. but i had promised aries to go for her 21st bd long long long ago... but...... in the end i still stay at home to have dinner with her before i left for Aries bd party.. and that night, my dad's coming back at 9.30pm.. yar and it was so irritating when mummy called when i just left the carpark saying that the flight had delayed for 30 min. caused me to travel at 50km/hr on the ECP cos i dun want tor each the airport so early, then has to park and all.. so sad cannot eat the cake.. looks so nice and cute and delicious!

first UCLA meeting!

yeah.. btw according to NTU, i've successfully enrolled in UCLA summer course. so last sat i made my trip down to NTU to meet up with my other 3 fellow summer course mates who will be going along with me.. so one of them is lingxin and the other 2 are guys, Allan and Frederick. I hope we will xiang an wu shi throughout the 2 months eh....

haiz ntu wireless really sucks.. we had our meeting at lingxin hall, which is hall one, at the TV room. i din manage to go online at all.. although they say i shud be able to, and yar last time i did tried connecting to ntu network before and it works actually but was at the north canteen the other time lah.

so with little resources, we planned our departing and return date.

we plan to depart on 10 June and coming back on 10 Aug. 2 whole months!! *yeah meaning i am celebrating my birthday there!!!* anyway we also plan to transit at Tokyo while on our way to LA, and transit at Hawaii when coming back. our lesson starts 25th June so while we are there early, we will probably use one day to settle down our stuffs at our apartment in LA, then maybe fly over to NY for a short tour before coming back to start our lessons. muahahha everything sounds so exciting lor. i totally have no mood for assignments, projects, mic etc.......

yar according to lingxin's senior, he say we have to plan everything down, like which day go where and there for how long etc, and now plan only when we reach there..our routes and everything, from tokyo all the way to hawaii... hahahha but in the end we spent 4 hours and we are still planning for tokyo!! its so tiring lor.... so i guess we gotta meet for many many times before we get everything settled down.. yeah.. so if u been to tokyo or USA, kindly supply me with what ever info you have k!! cos we are bit lost on where to go, how to go etc...

well on a separate note... hahhahaa i drove a manual car to NTU!! it's a small van.. the renault kangoo... yar its so small so cute.. just that manual car is so troublesome. i was so scare when i was driving lah. and in the end i still stall. haiz at lingxin hall. its a slope and there's this metal hump.. yar i was slowing down and i forgot the clutch. yucks. and the car died. lol

yeah... hopefully it will be my consistent weekend car (cos weekday my father's staff gotta use it to deliver goods), then i can go anywhere i want!!!

finally had some time to blog about this...
well had our first MIC annual concert last thursday, and after the concert i was rather sadded by some internal politics problem and yar.. there s simply too many emails to read and reply everyday.. dun have time to look thr and blog about anything.

nonetheless, thanks to Joyce, corinne, crystal, yeeling, ivy dear, ronny who came to support us! and beside that of cos my parents and after the concert then i know my dear korean friend, Shine was there too...

and yar.. i am very frustrated about picasa!!!! last time before i reformated my comp, my picasa was so nice to use.. now its so irritating!!! as u see from the above collage, its either i cant see yeeling, or i cant see corinne... last time i can change the collage by cancelling and pressing collage again and a new format will appear..but now cannot. its fix. dead. i envy people who can do nice collage leh.. so i thot its the problem of the installer. so i got the installer from janice, who always produced nice collages. but the same problem still there.. i create sucky collages lah... =( anyone can help me????

our first duet performance! haiz anyway i think it suck.. cos i err at my harmonised part. totally cant hear anything and everything is out of tune. grrrr. dun want to do harmonise next time liao.

had a poly mates gathering on Friday night at my house..

as usual, i only called those closer ones.. sweehong cannot come cos he work night shift.. so sad... we ordered pizza from canadian.. quite disappointed.. cos we all still feel that pizza hut make better pizza..

after dinner decided to play blackjack.. with desmond being the banker. hmm. now everybody think that desmond is a super gambler.. cos he really behaves like one! .... and huimian even asked me if desmond gambles often. cos he showed professionalism in being a banker and a player.

yar.. so in the end i think des lost abit.. banker also can lose one leh...

yeah.... hahhaa this is a rare post! cos i seldom make the effort to do write on my trips. haha but i am going to write for this.

Trip: Cruise on Superstar Virgo
Date: 18th Feb ~ 21st Feb (Chu1-chu4)

well its a 4D3N cruise trip with stopover at Penang and Phuket.. hmm not really say stopover, cos the stopover is a mere half a day.. lol

18th Feb
well its sunday, so went to church in the morning, after which we're lucky that a friend from church volunteered to send us to HarbourFront.. if not i think we'll have a hard time looking for a cab in Punggol and on Chu1 somemore.... We arrived at HarbourFront at about 2pm.. and wow. the queue is super super long. In the end, we took about 1 hour before we really get on board.

and each of us get a access card like this.

its your room card, access card to all restaurants and also your "credit card" on board as they dun collect cash on the ship, everything is charged to the card and we will settle the account at the end of the trip.

we found our cabin.. oh yar by the way, show u how our cabin look like.

there's no window, no balcony.. (if u nv seen a cabin with balcony before. let me tell u. its-damn-shiok!!!!! *envy*) well of cos not envy that they have the money but i dun to get a balcony cabin, but its becos when we booked that time, they are left with the most expensive non balcony class cabin... errrrr damn irritating lor.

and i found this in our cabin...

which tells us what are the activities every day. so everyday is a new copy. like camp like that. got time table one.. lol

yar, then we spend some time unpacking, then we go out to
1) self orientation around the cruise and take pictures,
2) book our tours to Penang and Phuket
3) book our "gala-dinner"

so after taking the pictures, we get down to the reception area to book our shore excursions to penang and phuket. cos its not compulsory to really get down the cruise when the cruise stop at these 2 places, so if u want to get down and walk walk, u can also choose to join their tours, they have different tours of different genre and interests, from massage to shopping to snorkeling..
however when we reach there, we are so disappointed that the tour that we wanted to take part for Penang is already fully subscribed! we thot we are damn early already, but still too late... so we've got no choice but to get a free and easy for penang. as for Phuket we signed up for the shopping tour since mummy wanted to buy those thailand foods but dunno where to buy cos its our first time to Phuket...

as for the GALA Dinner... well, there's this leaflet in our cabin saying that "Tuesday night (our last night on board) is a very special night for us....... invite you to the GALA dinner. Reservations needed... reservations starts 4.30pm" ok. we reached the booking venue at 5pm, and again its fully booked.... y is everybody so kiasu?! and i really hate star cruise for this. they like to create disappointment eh... and a deeper probe into a staff, we then get to know that this Gala Dinner involves all the main restaurants on the cruise. so no reservations=no entering. no main restaurant dinning = dine only at buffet. wth... say its soooo special night. but its just for how many people? and so let the rest of us be not special? we reached there only at 5pm lor... i wonder how many people can't get this Gala Dinner... they say its a special night.. so y is it that only that certain amount of people get to be special? isn't it very unfair for those who din get to reserve it. and its true, there are many people starting to create a nuisance at the reservation table when they learn that its full. really dun see the whole point of this gala dinner leh. they say u still have to dress in evening gowns and suits to attend it. what the....

19th Feb
daddy took the effort to get up at 6plus to see if there is sun rise, however to his disappointment, its raining....... yar so no more sun rise.. and he din wake me up, he only told me all these during breakfast.

had breakfast at this western restaurant call Bella Vista... their interior is gorgeous. really like that place alot... and their food i must say its the nicest of all the restaurant on the cruise.

nice right?! having breakfast by the window, and out of window what u see is not cars, not roads, not buildings, not trees, not grass... but........... sea!!!

yeap then we walked around the whole cruise again... and take more pictures. we finally reached Penang at about 12pm.

we need to actually take a tender boat to reach Penang cos the pier at Penang is too shallow for the cruise i think.. so it has to actually stop quite far away, and we will take a smaller boat to reach the shore. and the same goes to Phuket as well..

well, took this pic while on the boat. i think star cruise really took great care of the cruise man. its a 7 years old ship! but it still look brand new! and look at those balcony of the balcony class! *envy***

when we get to Penang, we are lucky we din take their shopping trip (its our alternative to the one that is fully subscribed) . cos we got a cab ourselves. the cab fare to the shopping centre is only 20ringit (before bargain). yar its darn exp. and my mum dun like to bargain one.. so we just took it. well that shopping trip that star cruise offered, went to this place and the other shopping centre as well. each person is S$18 lah.. no lunch or what... so its just the transport alone.. yar so in the end we only spent 40RM in total for transportation. thats like what one person would pay for wat star cruises offered.

we've got not much time, cos have to be back on cruise by 6pm.. so in the end we just shop at one shopping centre and caught a movie.. Protege.. in canto! shiok..its been so long since we watch a canto movie.

20th Feb
got up at 6.30am.. cos have to get down the cruise to go Phuket at 8.30am today.

then after coming back from Phuket trip, remember? its tuesday night, got that leng Gala Dinner.. but before the dinner, they actually hold a cocktail call the cocktail session with the captain. equally leng rite. so the captain come on stage together with all the other management heads in their full uniform to give speeches and take pictures with people.. like ma chiam celebrities like that. and so i realise that of all the 26 nationalities on board, i think only the china chinese, taiwanese and singaporeans were there, trying to get a glimpse of the captain while all the ang mos were all still sunbathing at the top deck. well, the captain looks yandao thou. look like brad pitt!

yar then after the cocktail is the start of the gala dinner which we are NOT entitled to go.. and as we went up to the buffet restaurant we realise that there are many people there as well.. hahah same as us, can't manage to reserve for the gala dinner. there are so many people that we can't even find a table for 3 of us! so since we are not very hungry, we decided to make ourself hungrier by.... going for a swim. lol

and while swimming, we saw the beautiful sun set!!! yeah! i've taken a picture with sunrise in Australia and now i have a picture with sunset as well! its awesome!!!!

21st Feb
well, so soon, its the last day of the cruise trip already. din do much that day, just more and more photos... lol

and we decided to have our first and last dinner at our favourite restaurant, Bella Vista.

Chinese new year is round the corner again!!

and tmr (Chu 1) i'll be leaving for my cruise trip! well every cny usually my family would go on tour... this year we have been running out of places to go.. cos firstly normally my holidays were limited cos i need to go back to school on chu 3.. well so we can only go to near places.. yar and so we have run out of places to go. and in the end we decided to take the exp-and-nothing-much cruise trip...

we're going onto the biggest cruise!! the Superstar Virgo. its damn exp lah. i think the same price can go taiwan liao.

yar talking abt taiwan... actually we can go taiwan. so y are we not going? hahhahaa cos when we book the tour, i forgot that CNY actually falls on week 8!!! hahaha got a big scolding from my mum after i told her this. haiz... yar lor.

but never mind.. never been to cruise also mah. anyway my cruise trip will depart on chu 1 at 4pm and will be back on chu 4 night. its a 4 days 3 night cruise trip with stopovers at Penang and Phuket Island.. haiz but then not gg away for too long is also good cos immediately on thurs and fri i have project meetings =_= anyway, i dun have autoroam.. so nobody can find me, even if i have, i dun think there's reception in the sea right?

so hereby wish all of u a Happy Lunar New Year!!!

anyway, i've decided to go for the most expensive summer ---> applying for UCLA.. and i am at the stage of deciding what to take. btw i am only taking one course there cos no point take 2 course and make myself busy until i got no time to travel hahhaha and 2 courses means higher school fees and have to apply for student visa.

I will be going with lingxin, she'll be taking communication mods cos she needs to clear them.. for me, i think i will take mod from their management school as the UCLA Anderson School of Management is recently selected by BusinessWeek as the best business school... but not sure the exact course that i want to take yet.. so looking forward to it!! been looking thr zuji.com to find out roughly what are the prices like to fly to USA... haiz minimium is $1700... and lingxin said her dad wouldn't want her to take a not-so-famous airlines so i guess she might be settled on SIA.. SIA price is like $2500 !!! haiz really hope that i wont spend like $8k lah cos i think most probably i am financing the trip myself.

hmmm.. recently has been bothered alot by this what-to-do-this-summer thingy.

1) summer trip to UCLA
2) internship
3) BSM to silicon valley (anyway application close liao and i din apply ahhahaha)
4) mission trip to korea
5) USA work and travel

yup.. nowadays i think i got psychoed by the OCS ppl that an internship is v impt.. and cos i really dunno what i wanna be 10 mths down the road.. then des say i shud have taken an internship. but then actually the place i wanted to go most is UCLA, but is the most exp one.. roughly speaking is abt 8k, inclusive of intensive travelling.. lol even stay at taiwan for maybe 2 days...

well why UCLA?

haha actually i just wanna go USA... and i know i can never make it to a term exchange with smu... well, UCLA is suggested by lingxin. after some research, found out that UCLA is the world ranking 12 university!

well last night actually went out for dinner with lingxin, ohh we went to swiss culture! finally hahaha ate that cheese fondue, and cos we are popular members, we've got a complimentary chocolate fondue.. well actually i felt that the chocolate fondue taste so much better than the cheese fondue...

oh yar.. so lingxin and i had an exciting time talking abt our prospective UCLA trip! hollywood and disneyland are all near the school! and we will visit NY also, and must go to las vegas as well, and many many other places!

waited for 6 hrs for nothing!!!

plan to go for BBM internship briefing today at 6pm and my classes end at 12pm.. and i gotta stone for 6 hrs in sch library! and when 6pm comes, i reach there and the OCS staff told me that i cant go in cos i din register for it. ok i take it. i sway.. but wait, i know that the other 2 BBM briefings are on wed.. and wed i have the boring proj mgmt class which start at 4 and end at 7.15pm.. shucks.. so i wanted the tell the OCS staff abt it. this is where my fire comes. when i was trying to talk to her, she can bloody ignore me and talk to the person behind.

and i tried again. and she totally ignore me.

call urself staff. cant u have a bit of basic courtesy?

treat us students as what? huh? the lowest class of ppl in school is it?

really angry leh... firstly waited for 6 hrs for nothing. secondly nobody reminded me that i need to register for it. thirdly met this bloody rude OCS staff.

really start to hate the school staffs. all dumps and cant do anything.

reminded me of a stupid cheque. submited the invoice from tinybox(MIC vocal course school) for the subsidy of the vocal courses. i submited i rem is abt 12dec. and until now its still not processed. what the hell is the school staff doing? huh? to process a payment for 1 mth is it? so what if i delay all my bills for one month? collect money from us they are so pro, comes to payment they are so slow. they simply dun understand what the private sectors works is it.. we are rushed by the vocal school like mad. come on' its not even our fault and we are forces to face it and get haunted by the music school everyday. can't they bloody process the cheque in one week? are they so bloody slow in all payment? can anybody tolerate that?

Johor trip with my Korean Friends!!

went to JB with my Korean friends, Shine and Haemi on New Year Day!

and together with us is parents also.. haha daddy's driving.. well, din expect him to accompany us.. actually it all happen on christmas day.. cos i met shine and haemi, then i asked them if they got any places wanted to go, and i say if weekends i can drive my father's car out also... so shine say oh if got car he want to go JB.. so i told him, JB cannot.. cos i dun dare to drive.. when i got home, i told my father abt it and he say oh JB also can go ah.. we go together lor.. i was like surprise... to hear this response.. yup and yar off we went to JB on New year day...

since both of them say they dun like shopping, so dad suggest we go sight seeing... drive around the whole JB.. and we ate the famous herbal chicken...

Shine and I at this place which i also dunno where is it.. but its damn nice.. think its the Istana... haha been to Johor so many times but its the first time i went there...

went to City Harvest Church for the first time yesterday..

thanks to Shine who invited me there!

Haemie (Shine's korean friend too), Shine and Me! ^^

hmm.... it was spectaculous..... think theres abt 10K ppl in the service!

everything there was soooo professional! from the sound, the lights, the videoman, the ushering, the choir, the band, the worship leader.... everything was like a corporate thingy.. the christmas drama was more like a concert.. corporate musical...

the sermon by Pastor Kong Hee was good too.. easy to understand and right to the point..

after the service, i join Shine and his cell group for the carnival organise by CHC also.. they booked a hall beside and held a carnival there.. its more of like pasar malam.. where there's all the rides and food.. haha and we played bumper car!

and we had quite a good fellowship together.. somehow i feel like i knew them for very long time. i realise i dun talk so much to my own church friends now.

anyway, i found out an interesting fact.. Shine cell group is just beside my block! hahhahaha also at edgefield plains! lol.... thats so much of a coincidence! think maybe i shud join their cell group one day..

then at abt evening, met des for a christmas night dinner... hee and took this pic at vivo city!!

CIP ......... MIC .......... ACF ........CIP..... performance.........chalet........ never ending......... but at least i think i nv wasted any time during this one month break compared to those 4 mths break..

i am also happy cos at least i managed to clear my CIP!!! and i am so glad i took part in this red cross CIP.. i think its so meaningful and i did learn something cos i gain quite alot of knowledge abt blood donation, and i learn how to improve sales skills!! lol

and i got to know some real good friends!
one of them is Felicia..

well.. she is the champion for Virtuoso 06 Group category lor...... she's so pretty and cute. yar no wonder she's one of the top donor recruiter in the event...

and of course, i went for my first-in-my-life............. blood donation!!!! but was so sad that i had to went thr it all alone... cos initially Felicia went with me, but she was rejected cos she had a little operation recently so she can donate blood......

but nonetheless, it was a great experience.. the people i saw who donated blood also includes yew wei, Vanessa and her Bf, Jovina.

scary leh...... it took me 2 days to come to this decision to donate leh... but our trainer from the bloodbank told us that on average people take 1 year to consider their first donation. hmmm... so i guess i am still not the worst, in fact i am fast! cos before that i really think also wont think of donating blood... i am how scare of pain!!!

since it was my first time, i was given this sticker....

the whole actual blood donation takes only about 15 mins...... yar so its not that long as i used to think it would be.. but the whole waiting process from the registration to doctor's examination to waiting to be "poked" take me 2 hours!! haiz.. well thou its so long, i still want to donate blood there.. cos i heard ppl say that those nurse at the bloodbank are not experienced one.. they often cant find ur veins and will make u pain.. but during this blood donation drive, i see that all the volunteers are aunties and uncles that are super experienced..

yup and another reason y i wanna donate blood during this donation drive is cos of this cute photo that will be given to every donor!

haha this makes my first donation so memorable.. with the event frames and date..

after the blood donation, i was bandaged with this striking bandage and was given 2 weeks of iron tablets..

haha and the next day this is my wound of the donation!

anyway after the donation drive, all of us went to Jerena's BD party.. it was at the super ulu part near Sembawang.. i think it was really the uluest chalet i seen.. its at the NSF Hometeam chalet..

it was so ulu and thanks elvin's uncle was kind enuff to give all of us a ride in.. but was on a lorry.. its all our first time sitting behind the lorry.. so we got so high and took a few pics lol..

been busy doing my cip these few days. it all started yesterday. I'm doing this event call the "A Truly Magical Christmas" blood donation drive organised by the Red Cross.

Yesterday was our training. the training is quite fun and i would say that the cip hours are quite slack man. basically in the morning we went for an excursion to the NEWater plant(in appreciation for their sponsor of NEWater).. then in the afternoon the staff from the Red Cross is suppose to come down and teach us how to approach the public, but that lady is late. and is damn late. the class suppose to start 3pm, but she only reach at 4.30pm... luckily the organising committee has something to keep us entertained. they showed Tom & Jerry.. lol... claim cip hours for watching tom & jerry.. how rocks rite?! but anyway all of us soon found that we had an overdose of tom and jerry after the first 30 mins of it. trust me, watching nearly 2 hours of tom and jerry can drive u mad lor.

anyway today is the awareness drive. we are divided into different teams. i joined the team that go to harbourfront. yeah........ the rest of the teams all hang around Dhoby Ghaut. asking people to donate blood is tough!!!!! i stood there the whole day and i think i only collected about 10 contact numbers. some people are just rude. i was so angry with some when before i started saying anything they say "No thanks".. wth lor. i say "sorry, but do u know what am i going to tell you?" "no. no thanks" and i got mad with this stupid indian woman. i was so tired and piss off. I am just a little volunteer. and she give me that kind of face and attitude. anyway i realise all the indians are in 2 extremes. either they are very interested in blood donation, like most of them will just sign up with u; the other group will do this to u. wats wrong with them lor....... argh...

I will still be doing it tomorrow... should be still at harbourfront station.... come look for me.. =p
and if better, come and sign up with me k.... donate blood during this festive season ba..... your blood can save 3 lives. and blood donation is not painful as you will be given a localised pain-killer on ur arm before the donation.

the donation drive will held on 15-16 December, which is next friday and saturday. from 12pm to 6pm. seee yaa there!!!

we were still all traumatised by the pervert catching incident that happened after our Music east and west concert yesterday..

the concert were held at the T-junction (outside OCBC) and we were all sitting on the stairs.. then actually i've noticed this man standing on top, outside 7-11 who kept pointing his hp at us, instead of the stage.. happily doing it throughout the whole concert, 2 hrs throughout... its rather obvious that he's taking pic or video of us. i din really take it to heart then cos i saw that we were all not-so-skimpy dressed.. so i dun think he got much to take also.. but towards the end when we were all noticing that there's this guy there (although we din tell each other), some of us felt uncomfortable about it so one of us went to approach him to ask him what pic is he taking. He refused to show us and he walked away.. so some of us chased after him and some of us went to get guys.. i was with the gals who went to look for some guys.. after that we went to look for the other gals who chased after the pervert..

that pervert was actually quite stupid to lock himself in booklink.. dunno why he stepped inside booklink also.. so when we got there with the guys, we went in and ask him to show us his phones. but he refused.. in the end, i say we have alot of eye witnesses seeing u taking pic of us, and yet u refused to show us. this only increase our suspisions about u.. if like that we call the police.. we can see this his hand is trembling.. and btw, he's a cheena man who speaks rotten english. looks exactly a pervert, skinny, wear a round framed spec, in long sleeve shirt and pants. and yar he's not a student, neither is he a staff of SMU.

anyway, in the end i decided to go to the command centre and ask security guards for help since they can arrive faster anyway. so he had no choice but to let us touch his hp only when the security guards were there.. but everything is too late. we are too stupid to forgot ask him leave his hp on the table. he had deleted everything when the securities arrived. i was so angry! this kind of ppl must put them behind the bars lor. anyway since the pics are not there liao but i just sacre that he had sent them out before deleting them... haiz. anyway i think i had the most direct head on argument with him among the gals. haha then marcus say i had to be careful later he come and seek revenge on me later. come to think of it, quite scary hor. but then wats done is done.. i regret not asking the security guard during the concert! shud have caught him red-handed. argh..........

anyway on another note, went for my church prac last night.. haha after sho long since i last went second service man.. had been going to the traditional first service cos i always have proj meetings on sun. tink i nv go second service for a month so.. so many things change, they changed a new laptop, guitar strap also changed, and stream of praise had a new album also. seems like i haven been there for a year like that.. and also due to a long time since i touch a guitar, skin on my fingers had soften. argh.. and after the practice, i am shocked to see 3 blisters on my fingers on my right hand. so PAIN when i typed this blog!!

yeah.. haha yup after yesterday last presentation for Strategy, my group went to have a feast at the school TCC!!

at the beginning i say we take a pic.. but dunno who say wait for the food come then take. but then when the food came, we were all so hungry (i din have food since breakfast till 4pm..) then we forgot all abt taking pictures. anyway we manged to take one before we left. :)

whewph....... lalala.. i am so happy!!!

cos I just finished 2 presentations today, one after another! its my SCM and strategy presentation.
haiz i am sho tired. spent a freaking 13 hours. yes! THIRDTEEN hours in a single classroom!! argh from 10am to 11pm lor.... haha had 3 projects meeting at the room at the same time. lol

and the best thing is i only did my scm slides this morning in the train...and i only type out my script for strategy after my SCM presentation.. haha.. was so glad that the SCM presentation was fine, based on the fact that we onli do our slides in less than 12 hrs before the presentation.. lol.. one best thing is that the prof has no questions for us.. but he got qns for every grp...

anyway, i'm happy that my
1) CHina presentation is over = China is OVER! =)
2) SCM project is over
3) my music rondalla concert is over! oh yar yar... i have a clip of us performing last friday at the music lab! and took so many wonderful photos... really love the rondalla group!!

MIC indeed have grown. compared to last year finals, this year the whole conference hall is real packed! we even have to put extra chairs at the back and people are sitting on the steps! i guess our first president will be delighted to see the current MIC..

yesterday was our first year anniversary. well, thou not the first relationship, but this is my first time celebrating first anniversary.. It's really an enjoyable one, although the fun part came after my CB project meeting cos have a presentation today.

nonetheless, 29th October 2006 was a superb memorable day for both of us! dar promise me that we will have a memorable sight-seeing day..

we started off meeting for a late lunch at 2plus.. and we went to Bakerzin! haha he knew that I've been longing to eat there, so this is quite expected..

after lunch, we went to a place which I have been longing to go too, after looking at Eileen's picture on her friendster. The DHL balloon!!! thou now the haze has gone down, but still the pictures are damn blur.. kind of feel that its not worth it.. but still i enjoy the ride with dar! the scenary is still great enuff, still breaktaking! not too rocky, but still will swear from time to time. Some people are so funny that when we asked them to help us take a picture, she say sorry she can't cos she can't move. LOL~

next we gotta meet aries to get the MIC keys from her. so off we went to The Cathay cos she was there, watching movie with her beloved new "boy toy", the small ears, aka racoon small ears aka winston. LOL!!! new nick invented by me! yeah! haha yeap, if i din mentioned this before, winston and aries is the 3rd couple of SMU MIC. lol.. marcus is getting worried as he told jessie, our president, that we should stop avocading romances in the club. hahahaha

anyway, at the cathay, we've got not much to do cos the beloved newly formed couple haven't finish their movie, so we went to shop around. and so we happen to go in to the known-to-be-biggest-in-asia The Addidas Flagship store. well, dun think its really big thou. moreover, so what with biggest-in-asia? they dun have sizes!! their biggest gal size is 34.. (wth) & men's biggest size is only Small. (wth square). we are rather disappointed, cos we really like one of the jacket very much, and thought that it will be even more meaningful if we could get them on this special day. however, they dun have the right sizes, so we shall wear on the under-sized jackets and take a picture with them.. hahaa.. anyway when we left the store, the store assistant suggest that we make a trip down to their suntec store cos there might be stock over there..

when we finally met aries, we're off to our dinner place.. with regards to the venue, dar kept his mouth sealed right till the end.

I was as excited as a little gal when i was there. LOL but on the other hand, i was not happy with dar cos he nv remind me to wear nice nice. then make me wear so awkard there.. with my bertula slippers.. argh!! nonetheless, I was really gan dong.. and we took lots of pictures there! even in the toilets. really really a nice place.

after dinner, dar decided that we should hop down to suntec since its quite near, to get our addidas jackets.. when we got there, we are so disappointed that the gate was already pulled half down.. haha.. but thanks to my super naggy persuasion, they let us in.. well, its quite a big business leh. 2 adidas jackets.. LOL... anyway, thanks to its ulu location, sizes are available there! and we finally gotten our adidas jackets as we conclude the day of celebration... :)

hahaha.... basically i have some rok jak to crank about...

firstly, i am happy cos i went to the pool today. for the first time in this sem. haha now they have the excel system like the gym for us to log-in.. so no more writing on papers... and now they've got the pin lockers! and more lockers now also.

there seems to have more people swimming now also... there was like abt 6 person in the pool when i got there.. well i know 6 is not alot, but i thought it used to be like zero people in the pool.. lol.............

ok secondly. I am not happy. cos after swimming, des and i went over to bras basah jack's place, wanted to eat the student meal. but now the student meal is only available to primary and secondary school students. pui... make us walk all the way there... and worst is the set lunch is also over... so i thought y should we still be eating there? haha so we just stand up and walk off... so now the only place with good set meals is at 3nines. but i went there on monday they were close. i hope they are only close on that day and not close for good....

ok thirdly. Elvin told me he's signed up for the work and travel USA. he say the registration deadline is sat... which is 7oct... I dunno how.. there's quite a no of things that are holding me back... well firstly is MIC. cos we always have lots of planning during the summer. we'll have election, then hand over, then plan for next vivace, next virtuoso, club activities for next sem and stuffs... i dunno should i just leave jessie alone to all these... and secondly is i dunno should i do a internship. cos this will at least give me a taste of working in a corporate world.. and most likely to secure a better job when i grad. anyway my mum say if i can get a high pay job(>$2500) then go for it.. and now my mum's friend, who's working in an investment bank says the job market for this year is very good and the fresh grads that they are taking in are taking home $3500 and above as starting pay and she keep asking if i wanna go for internship at her company... this is so tempting. then of cos desmond will be an issue too... 3 mths shuo chang bu chang shuo duan bu duan.... i really dunno....... and now we have to make decision and commit to it liao! haiz how? anyway who is interested to go?

The Tai Tai sale

went to the Isetan Private sale this morning with mummy... yup! went shopping in the MORNING.. the sale starts 9am and end at 10pm. when we got there at 9.30am, we are shocked to see the big crowd there!

this is our first time going to a much-discussed isetan private sale cos my mum just got their membership recently. the sale is realllyyyyyy worth going and squezzing!

well.. one thing we notice is that TAI TAI ALSO GIAN SALE! there are so many tai tais there lor.. all with curly hair and nice dress, with high high heels.. then there are also exceptionally large no. of mercedes and BMWs at the pick up point to pick up the tai tais.. lol.. anyway one sad thing is that all the nice bags of fendi and ferragamo are all sold out when we reach there. those less 40% ones are all G-O-N-E. the tai tais must have been queueing at the entrance from 8.30am in order to go in at 9am to grab all the great deals.

haha happy thing is i finally got myself a much wanted levi's jeans. at 25% discount! and a dress and a lil denim cardigan... then mum got herself ck escape and moment, and u know what she got as gifts? one 100ml of contradiction, one handbag and one trolley tour bag, and dozens of samples perfum... too bad i need to go back to sch for projects....... but my parents are going back in the afternoon for a second round...

i am so looking forward to the next private sale!

Last year I upgraded from Girlfriend 7.0 to Wife 1.0. I soon noticed
that the new program began unexpected child processing that took up a
lot of space and valuable resources. In addition, Wife 1.0 installed
itself into all other programs and now monitors all other system
activity. Applications such as Poker Night 10.3, Football 5.0, Hunting
and Fishing 7.5, and Racing 3.6

I can't seem to keep Wife 1.0 in the background while attempting to
run my favorite applications. I'm thinking about going back to
Girlfriend 7.0, but the uninstall doesn't work on Wife 1.0. Please
help!

Dear Troubled User

This is a very common problem.

Many men upgrade from Girlfriend 7.0 to Wife 1.0, thinking that it is
just a Utilities and Entertainment program. Wife 1.0 is an OPERATING
SYSTEM and is designed by its Creator to run EVERYTHING!!! It is also
impossible to delete Wife 1.0 and to return to Girlfriend 7.0. It is
impossible to uninstall, or purge the program files from the system
once installed.

You cannot go back to Girlfriend 7.0 because Wife 1.0 is designed to
not allow this. Look in your Wife 1.0 manual under
Warnings-Alimony-Child Support. I recommend that you keep Wife 1.0
and work on improving the situation. I suggest installing the
background application "Yes Dear" to alleviate software augmentation.

The best course of action is to enter the command C:\APOLOGIZE because
ultimately you will have to give the APOLOGIZE command before the
system will return to normal anyway.

Wife 1.0 i s a great program, but it tends to be very high
maintenance. Wife 1.0 comes with several support programs, such as
Clean and Sweep 3.0, Cook It 1.5 and Do Bills 4.2.

However, be very careful how you use these programs. Improper use will
cause the system to launch the program Nag Nag 9.5 and/or PMS 99.0.
Once this happens, the only way to improve the performance of Wife
1.0 is to purchase additional software. I recommend Flowers 2.1 and
Diamonds 5.0!

WARNING!!! DO NOT, under any circumstances, install Secretary With
Short Skirt 3.3. This application is not supported by Wife 1.0 and

Just finish my Strategy class.

met the worst market spoilers i seen in SMU.

its only 3rd week of school, and today was the first presentation group of my strategy class.

well, for my strategy class, it works in a way where each project group is a consultancy firm. And each week, there will be one firm (group) presenting a case, which is in the format of a workshop. the presentation will be 1 and half hour long (requested by prof).

so, this first group that presented just now did:

1) send out mailer to publicise their workshop
2) videos (which is a neccessity now, unlike in year 1 where video is a wow.), anyway, their video is in the form of news, had a pretty newspaper background, unlike what we always do --> maximise the whole screen.
3) give out vouchers for people who answered their questions correctly
4) used a random name selector to ask people to answer their questions
5) make use of this polling system just like Who wants to be a millionaire as the audience poll when the person can't answer the qn.
(trust me, their polling system works exactly same as the bai wan da ying jia. everyone got a remote control in our hands)
6) used an electronic polling system for us to key in our choice
7) facilitate discussion in our groups
8) Biggest prize for the person who won in the last game call "Last Man Standing"

Last friday was MIC first activity cum investiture.. yoohoo.. the turnout is so much better than expected!!

anyway we had ktv session from 3.30 to 5pm, afterwhich we went to minds cafe and at about 8.30pm we went back to school to sing another round of KTV again..

the new KTV system rawks lah! can sing whenever we want. and the SR screen is big! u pay a membership fee and u get to enjoy unlimited ktv singing.. how rawks rite.. membership fees is only $10 for first time and $5 for annual renewal. interested in joining MIC? pls tag at the tag board k!

last saturday after our performance at the Tanjong Pagar CC and followed by a 2 hr practice for this coming friday performance, heyhey.. finally some relaxing came by...

initially wanted to watch movie, but KK dun want so in the end we suggest to go and eat tao huey... but too lazy to walk there and so in the end we decided to go Ben & Jerry's to eat ice cream.. to our surprise, there's live performance there! they were singing those 80s songs.. and all english songs (of cos).. well, its the best place we thot. best cos both me and KK desperately need to improve on our english songs singing as our style are damn china.. recorded a short clip there and posted it on youtube:

super belated birthday celebration

yeah! had a super belated birthday celebration on monday.... for who?? haha for me!!

yup.. thou its abit belated, but it shows that my birthday is still being remembered!

celebrated it with my most beloved laopo.. hahahahha... together with Yeeling and Jessie and dar!

We had our dinner at Billy Bombers Bugis Junction.. actually at first I din know that it's going to be a birthday celebration for me. well, its been so long I really din expected that they are celebrating my birthday. I thought its just a casual dinner after a MIC event. I felt so wierd when they are singing birthday song to me in the month of August. LOL..

but nonetheless, was really happy that i get birthday wishes from them. oh yar, will be having quite a no of classes with them also, so i guess this is quite a good start eh?

and also not forgetting to mention their birthday gift! A manicure and pedicure voucher from Gracia's Nails Gallery!!! they really know me!! must be my laopo's idea.

hmm... before i even want to look at all the pics we took in HK, i'm still indulging myself in the fireworks i've seen in HK disneyland.......

seriously, des and I both felt that the disneyland fireworks surpasses any national day or new year's fireworks we've seen...

and they are showing it EVERYDAY. except for rainy days.

des took a video using his company's N80... wanted to upload it to youtube but found that there are quite a no of disneyland fireworks there liao... so far found 2 great ones... remember to ON YOUR SPEAKER! cos the fireworks are fantastic cos they are musical fireworks.. all accompanied with the various disney songs.. like bring us to fantasy wonderland.. *thumbs up*

Istana trip

went into the Istana today with my parents.... din really went there deliberately.. we passed by and saw there was lot of ppl so we knew that there's Istana open house today...

haha at first still thot can go and see the bed of our president or visit his toilet or wat.... but i can tell u... u walk 20 min deep in and u still haven get to any building yet.

its damn big......

but anyway we din get to even see the building lah. only tour the istana garden.... so pathetic.. like gg to botanic garden like that........ but we got to see President Nathan... there was so many ppl crowding around him, everybody just crowd around him to take pics...

anyway was home early that day to watch SuperBand..... hahaha i must say that that guitarist in J3 really look like Dennis ~~(but shed 10 kgs off first~~)!! who was also my guitarist in a small-but-well-known band back in NYP guitar club... heee.... our band only got 3 person. me, lingxin and dennis. haha J3 also 3 person.. ok leng.

Des first braces appointment

accompany des to National Dental Centre for his first braces appointment on 4th aug... hahaha and ~~to witness his tooth extraction agony~~ to give him mental support for his 2 out of 4 tooth extraction. he will extract the other 2 tooth when we come back from HK on 14th Aug.....

hmm.. but not very satisfied with it......... it was v hard.......... and in the end then i realise whats the problem. the temperature shown on the receipe states we should bake at 350 farenhite... and des say 350 farenhite means abt 240 in celcius.......... argghhh!! when i took my hp out, and i used the nokia converter then i realise that 350 farenhite is only 176 celcius!!!!!

yeah.. I am officially off from Singapore Pools!

actually last friday was my last day. my boss is such a nice lady to treat us... haha even thou i terminate early. (initially I got to work till 18th Aug, which is the friday before school starts) will post some pics when i got the xin qing to download the pics to my comp haha!

and yesterday, I went to make a BIG decision to cut away all my curls! anyway the curls are giving me troubles, they are so difficult to manage! rebonding isnt the way for me cos i dun like hair being flatten cos it will make my face even fatter and rounder.

so in the end I decided to cut them away...

During dinner at an Indonesian/Javanese Restaurant at Far East Plaza level 2... the food are yummy and cheap! highly recommended for u if u like dishes like Tahu Telor and Sayur Asam....

realli getting sick of my work sometimes.

well my work is actually to verify the no of claim cards. the $30 instant strike cards. if u bet with singapore pools, every $30 u will get one card. so if u scratch something, u can claim at the betting counter. then the betting counter will claim with singapore pools.

haiz.. as the match advance, my job is getting tougher and tougher...

and plus BOSS is a damn headache thingy. cos the stupid Supply Chain Management open a new class in BOSS 1b... damn sickening, clashes with my marketing research.

and hate it somemore when u have limited friends that can take OM classes with u... but must really thank Joyce for helping me bid at her office! yup, and after that we had a series of sms converstation. she suggest we should hold an outing.. hahaa to celebrate mine and charmaine's bd.. hahahaha super belated. yeepee! look forward to this outing man. too stress and too many unhappiness in this holidays.

haiz. anyway, i made a brave decision to end my work early. in some sense i am happy! cos des also work till end of july. then i will end next friday. then we can go swimming again! so long never swim already. miss the swimming pool and sauna!

but I feel so bad leaving Hui behind cos she's my secondary sch friend.

haiz but no choice lah.. i realli busy with alot of stuffs.. and my parents keep asking me to quit also. hopefully the new temp that take over me will work well with Hui..

Mon to fri is work from 8am to 5pm. but always OT will 6pm at least.. then got tuition(wed and fri nite), got MIC meeting (every mon night).....

well actually its not that i got nothing to blog. i got lotsa pic to blog! recently got my poly chalet and went to zoo! thanks to schneider again(my last year summer job co).. LOL... one year ago went to their family also.... with Wanzhen. it was at Sentosa, and took pics of birds fighting eh... hahaha this year its at the zoo! so long nv been to the zoo. and this time round went with des. it was so fun and we stayed there from 9am till abt 4.30pm! walked the whole zoo.. damn tiring.

well i cant get to sleep now, despite that i only have abt 4 hrs to sleep, or even lesser.... and bloggin abt my zoo trip is abit too outdated and timewasting cos of the uploading of pics........ but the zoo pics are nice.......... but i am lazy... haha! so maybe i blog abit about my work...

hee. my pass... temp pass also got pic. rocks rite? And I am glad i am in the M&S (Marketing and Sales) department. good for resume! hahaha despite the stupid work that i am doing.. read on.........

my job is that basically if u bet soccer with singapore pools, above $30, you get a scratch card. and if u win something, u may claim your winnings with any betting centre. then these betting centre will claim the winnings from singapore pools. then I will need to process the claims and verify them...... erm.. maybe not verify, but just the first-checker, my sup is the one who verify..
so i am the one who is the first line qc, remove any staples if the betting centre return them with staples... and put them in a certain order before passing them to my sup..... then before that, i need to sign to endorse. so one day i think i can sign like dunno how many hundreds times.......

well maybe i shall follow Joyce's style abit. LOL..... complain about some idiotic people at work in order to take it all out of my body. hahahah

ok lah.. actually not very bad or wat, cant be compared with those that appeared in her blog.. (but dunno the situation she mentioned are exaggerated or not)

anyway theres this betting centre, at cheers Upp Changi.. from the first week (meaning first week of world cup, as spore pools doing this scratch card only for the world cup), they had been pasting each and every winning ticket on a piece of a4 paper. They had been told that they should bunndle everything together with a rubber band instead, but they forgot. so my sup called them up to tell them not to do that again.

then the second week, the same thing happen again. and its even more tickets. meaning i have to take out the tickets from the scotchtape one by one more tediously. and best of all, they did so much and forgot to attach their claim form with their signature and shop stamp.

now the third week. and again. I dunno whats up with this shop lor...... and its freaking abt more than 120 tickets that i need to tear down carefully one by one in order not to destroy them.

can someone tell me where is cheers upp changi? argghhhhh

and on another note, i realise ppl reacted quite uneasy when they learn abt my job at spore pools. everybody thot i go and do counter girl and sell bets is it?!?!

leng..... then now when pple ask me what i work, I must say the whole line "singapore pools ADMIN".

oh yar forgot to add that i was too busy to blog is also partly cos my mum bought 2 new korean series again and is watching them nowadays. anyway after finish watching that [这该死的爱], i also watched [豪杰春香](sassy girl- no no not that movie) and my mum recently bought [我的女孩] and [我的名字叫金三顺]. well... so far i think [豪杰春香] is the best.... not as boring and slow paced. haha a point to note is that in [我的女孩], theres a character looks super alike with vanesse. ermm spelling like bit wrong.. but i mean the vanesse who act in Liu xing hua yuan.. just that he's abt 1size smaller than him. in [我的女孩], he also act as a rich family's son....

yeah! finally got a job!!

haha actually this holidays i haven been trying hard to look for job.. basically I am just waiting for my previous employer, Schneider, to give me a temp job. cos their pay is good.. yar.. so the schneider pay is my "RP-Resistant Point", as well as my "TP-Target Point".. haha from my nego for biz course..... so its sort of like anything below $8/hr, i am not really willing to do.... haha.. rather stay at home and slack......

well.. this job that i am getting.. it's abit exceptional case.. anyway the pay is $7/hr.. and the lobang is from Sophia. Last week, she sms me to email to her superior my resume.. actually I wasn't sure if I shud send or not.. cos I still think that I should wait for news from schneider. haha but in the end, at the late night at 2am, I finally think that Schneider dun really want me anymore, and decided to send in my resume. The company is Singapore Pools.. the one at Paradiz. dun really know what am i suppose to do there also. But a good thing is that Huihui is also working there, and she started on monday already.. yeah! so at least there's someone i know!

Gathering with Sophia & Hui

went out with Sophia and Hui Hui on saturday.. I can't even remember the last time i saw them! well thou after secondary, we went to the same poly, but due to different courses, we seldom see each other.

time really flies, and realise how long i have known Sophia.. more than 10 years.. haha one of my longest friend. still remember I knew her back in a tuition centre when we were in Primary 5. I was always a quiet little gal since young, maybe due to lack of siblings and also frequent change of environment at my young age, therefore leading me a little introvert. So, I did not have much friends at the tuition centre back then. But dunno y i will always remember Sophia. After not long, can't remember who was the one who left the tuition centre, and before I could ask for a contact number, one of us is gone. During that time, gone is really gone. No emails, no blogs, no hp, no msn... no way we can contact. however, we met again coincidentaly at our secondary school during one recess.

I always remember Sophia as the sweet little girl(maybe cos she pretti so I will never forget her.. LOL). and very hardworking too! but dunno y she will always get v nervous during exam and will get not-so-satisfying scores during exam despite studying so hard for them. well, after about 3 years since we grad from poly and haven met her, she's still as sweet and pretti as ever, and still as hardworking studying at SIM.

Well, we met after my organ lesson at about 12.45pm. as usual, Hui is forever late. lol... and cos i need to check out the close circuit camera at my dad's shop, so we head down to Far East Plaza first. Haha, but I couldnt really solve the problem (expected), so i decided to join them for shopping at level1.. din buy much, except for the pearl necklace.. it was cheap! 1 for $5 and buy 2 get 1 free. so in the end i bought 2 and sophia bought 1 and we each pay only $3.30..

beside shopping at far east, we also went to visma atria. Afterwhich we went to have our lunch at the newly open Pepper Lunch Express at the Douby Ghaut XChange in the MRT station. haha thou it was newly open, but it was my 2nd time there. I really love Pepper Lunch! But cannot eat so much cos its rice... *pout* Pepper Lunch Express is great! cos they serve the mini pepper lunch, which is a rather small portion, and make me less guilty after eating it.. haha! and it is also relatively cheaper than the normal pepper lunch.. about half the price only. Sophia and Hui haven tried before, so bring them there..

after lunch, we decided to sit down and have a coffee chit chat and we went to the TCC and surprisingly, is the TCC at SMU! haha finally, since we moved to the city campus for 1 year, this is the first time i step into my school's TCC! Had a great nice chat, and of cos took our pictures!

Huihui is nice to accompany me! find this time PC show like nothing much.. maybe cos the previous one is a market spoiler.. 3 levels PC show.... so this round is only 1 level, kind of like only 1 third of what we had experience from the previous one....... haha..

however, still manage to caught some gadges that I am dying to own...

firstly is the canon IXUS 65... so thin! and the screen is so big!! Love it so much!

next is the new nokia N72. really love the pink one! haiz.. but this phone is only for show at the PC show, not for sale. des says will only launch in Jul/Aug... hmm.. Jul? haha my bd in Jul.. dunno will i get a N72 for BD??

Just finish watching a whole series of Korean Drama Series.. haha not Da Chang Jin.. this one only 27 episodes..LOL thou intend to buy da chang jin in china that time.. but was too exp for us to buy so we choose something else instead.

the reason y we buy this series is quite amusing.

cos we want to take a look at rain........ heard that he's one of the hotter korean star now..

thot should be v shuai, but turn out that both my mum and I dun think that he's really that shuai. but he has a v v well-built body. and thou he's not that shuai, but as u watch the series on, you will slow find that he has some attracting points which will make u feel attracted to him.

and by the time i finish watching the whole series, i actually find rain quite cool.

its a very sad love story.

Rain's brother had a gf initially, but when his gf one day become a famous korean star, the girl's mother ask him to leave her, which makes him very sad. To make things worse, a rich man fall in love with her and release to the media that he want to marry her.

Rain's brother was very sad and he accidently fell off the building and became a vegetable man.

Rain wanted to revenge for his brother as he believed that the girl had deserted his brother, led him to fall down from the house building and become a vegetable. And he started his perfect plan of revenge with starting to be the girl's bodyguard.

However, he did not realise that its impossible to love a person deliberately and its even more impossible to stop loving a person anyhow when you have started loving the person.

So in the end he fell in love with the person that he wanted to take revenge for.

in the very end, I dun quite understand cos the environment actually permits them to be couple, but rain actually died in the end..... and the most amusing thing is he died of cold.

haha........ have been realli lazing around since i am back from xiamen last monday.. LOL

well.. not realli say laze around.. but then i got loads of things to do.. like trying to tidy my wardrobe to accomodate 27 new pieces of clothes.. and my shoe cupboard for 3 pairs of new shoes.. lol...... then have to do lots of MIC stuffs as i come back.... haiz..

but i am glad that i have been exercising! haha i've start to fall in love with the school swimming pool and the sauna.

its just so shiok that after a good swim, then buried your shivering body into the warm sauna and let yourself sweat it out. last week i went 2 times.. and i hope to be consistent with this. so i make a goal to go swimming on monday and thurs. wanted to jio lingxin to go along. who else want to go??

hmm.. actualli i dun realli have much to blog abt.. maybe i would just keep a record of what i have been doing for the previous 2 weeks plus...

MIC chalet.... it rocks. for such a long time i haven have the chance to realli fellowship with MIC kakis... the new grp of exco are great. i see that they've got all the great ideas to make MIC to be a better and better and better club! i cant wait for another MIC activity to come.. heard the next one is a genting trip! :) proposed by my junior again.... see, my juniors are great juniors.

haha and throughout this chalet, i realise that I can be a great cook if i want to... been cooking like lagsane-liked spagettie, fried a well-fried prata, and a well-fried egg with hotdog... LOL :) hahahha let me show you one breakfast that i made....

11th may went to xiamen early in the morning 7am, together with my parents.
purpose of this trip mainly is that my dad wanted to go back to his dentist there to check his teeth.. then for me, to go back to check my lasiked eye.. and my mom to celebrate mother's day with her mom...

as requested by desmond, i took some pic of the eye hospital that i had my surgery... LOL its Xiamen Eye Centre.. and its opened by Singapore National Eye Centre (SNEC).. so considered best eye hospital out there in xiamen.. as reflected by the fees i paid for my surgery.. its the highest.. haha but then i must admit that the outer appearance of it looks so run down compared to SNEC and will scares u off... but who cares. they got the good doctors and good equipment. its not a hotel, just a hospital...

The Hospital Reception at Level 1:

the payment there works whereby u have to buy a "cash card" at the reception containing a minimum of $100 RMB and where ever u go, the doctor will deduct money from there. prescription will also be done on the card and u will collect your medicine at the pharmacy (men zhen yao fang". after you finish your visit, you will need to refund your "cash card" and get back whatever u had not spent. for my repeat checkup, guess how much is the consultation? LOL onli $12 RMB (appro S$2.4). and you know how much is it when i went for my check up at SNEC? above S$50.

2) the gold shoe.. simply fall in love with it at first sight. plus GOLD is in trend now... ok lah its been quite a while.. but i still like it.... price also RMB$39

3) my favourite top... haha actualli its quite hard to pick one thats of my most favourite... everything is my favourite.. but i guess this is my normal favourite kind... thin cloth that is cooling to wear.. long... short short cap sleeves...

4) the cheapest top..... come in 2 pieces.. a inner spagetti sprap plus a small jacket. and cost onli RMB $29.... S$6.......

well and during this trip you wont be surprise that everywhere u see are

yup yup........ everywhere are LACES....... and laces are just sooooooooo nice!
but be careful when you are shopping for laces clothes...
1) try to wear as little accessories as possible (eg earrings, rings, watch, necklace)
2) try not to wear dangling earrings...
cos all these will pull the strings of the laces.. and sometimes might spoil the clothes.

other than that i also bought quite a no of mickey mouse top. yeah! and a few shorts

cos feel that shorts are in trend now.. which is better for me cos i dun realli like mini skirts.

beside shopping met up with cousins and uncles, aunties, and grandma.....

20th May 2006 --- sentosa trip with desmond's secondary school mates

this day first time i joined desmond for his friend's outing.

it was his secondary school outing to sentosa. nothing much.. just that the volleyball and ultimate frisby is suppperrrr niceee!!!

and in the late afternoon.... we went to try the sentosa luge.. yeah! finallly...

initially it was quite exp... its $8 for a luge ride and a skyride.... but des's friend got the islander.. which reduce our tic to onli $5... then i feel its quite worth it.

the sky ride that we took to a higher place so that we can start the luge......
the scenary is nice!!

and after the skyride we proceed on to our luge.. haha its not as difficult to control as i think. at first i thot there's no brake.. and the luge will just go on and on and on....
haha but in the end realise that u can actually brake...
the luge ride is actually quite short.. and if u prefer trails.. then the ride will end even faster. so des and I choose to make the ride longer by going slower and even stop awhile for a pic...

Half-Yearly wedding

well as we grow older, definitely we will be receiving more and more wedding invitations..

i remember the last time i attended a wedding was after my last paper last sem in dec.. it was danyun's wedding...

and now, half a year later, I attended another wedding.

and realise that invitations are getting more and more creative... and SWEET!

this is a picture of the invitation card. as you can see, its not usual envelop anymore. its a 4-flap kinda thing and is fasten by a sticker that symbolise a pair of rings.

haha by the way. I am proud to say that my mum is the creative producer of this wedding card! :)

yeah... have been watching free movies these days... ahaha envy?? LOL

last week got The Cathay compliementary tics... and yesterday got MI3 preview premiere screening tics at Lido!

thanks to des's brother... and his friends who gave him the tics.... so those who came along were des and I, his bro and da sao and his parents...

first time been to preview premiere... and din know still got goodie bag..

inside the goodie bag are a bag of popcorn, a 500ml bottle of pepsi, a copy of this week's 8days (featuring MI3), a big DHL bag (those u would bring it to camp), and some other stuffs...

and before the start of the screening, still got lucky draw.. not sure what are the prizes.. but i think its just another goodie bag...

and throughout the whole screening, there are guards walking around, making sure that no one is using cameras or wat ever.... so its kinda wierd to see pple keep walking ard u in the cinema...

well for the movie, it was great... and as usual, it trails me... haha had a shock for quite a no. of scene... lucky no bloody scene, thou i thot it's a TREND now that bloody scene is the IN thing for movies... watch the Election 2 (by Gu Tian Le etc...) last week... also damn bloody.. got a scene Gu Tian Le chop a person into pieces then make it into minced meat to feed dogs.. and they show a person pushing a leg into the mincing machine... YUCKS!!!

ok enough of bloody things... haha anyway got to know about the campus superstar's blogs and reading them just now... hmm.. maybe shud share with u all.... think corinne shud be interested eh??

hmm.. today's Friday liao.... seems like holidays are passing even faster than what i expected.. :(

anyway got results for stats and IE so far.......

cos i got B for IE!!! hahaa.. i thot i am doomed for IE liao.. i am realli an econs nut lah. i thot i will get at most C+ for IE one........ all thanks to shi fu for her private tuition eh! will never forget her patient guildance!

and anyway i went to review my stats paper yesterday..... initially wanted to bargain for more marks.. but then realise that he actualli got remark my paper and gave me an increase of 8marks.. so i also bit paiseh to ask for more....... got alot i know that i dun realli deserve the mark but he still give me that mark..... i could onli blame myself for not studyin for my first assignment lor.... got freaking 29/100..... haiz.. tats what pull me down.....

after the review, haha des and I went to watch movie at The Cathay.. finally! ahhaha.. the best thing is............

its FREE!! LOL!!

Des got a flyer at opposite our sch's kopitiam that says redeem ur movie ticket at the box office, absolutely free........ thot it was too good to be true.... so we went to try.... and its realli true!

can watch any movie, any timing... but then as u all know cathay timing is quite bad..... so in the end we onli manage to catch a korean show..... The Art of Seduction...... well.. actualli as usual, korean show are bit boring.... except the fact that there are quite a few "laughable" scene. But then again, its suppose to be a COMEDY. if theres no laughable scene at all, then it will be such a failure..... lol......

they got student set, can choose a beef / chicken / salmon bowl, together with a waffle fries, and a drink, only at $3.95..

It was Melissa's 21st birthday... haa 2 years ago, i have been celebrating lots of 21st birthdays also...... now this year a few to come too....

thou have been undecided to go or not to go..... but in the end still went...... just becos i felt that i shud go cos she invited me....

the party is at her grand parent's house which is near 6th Ave.. haha finding the place was easier than expected with corinne around..... realli enjoy driving in the vicinity cos there are sooooo many big and beautiful house!! joyce was so niao to say she wanted to walk and thinking that some rich chap will bump into her........ =_=!!

heee... and realli thanks mel for her lovely present! think this is the first time i receive a present for attending a birthday party..... not to mention those when we were in primary school, and the birthday boy/gal will give each of their friends a packet of sweets and biscuits.......

well i was actually quite nervous..... cos all his cousins din bring their gf.. so i am the onli "wai ren" there....

hee.. but a good thing is that i learnt more abt my dar.. when i saw the moment when he held his grandma's hand, and bring her all the way into the restaurant, to her seat.............. i was like......... wow.. so theres still guys caring for their grandparents nowadays!! =)

anyway let me take a review of what had happened during these few days....

Monday

well, after a long shitty IE paper.. erm, actualli not realli long.. considering i have to answer 40 qn in 2hr 40 mins.. and its not 40 MCQs ok! its 40 answers ranging from 1-5 sentences..

ok thats not the point.. anyway I finally can go and have my er ren shi jie with desmond.. and that day activity was totally planned by him.. ranging from what movie to watch, what time, where, and where to eat dinner... and haha... $$ blink blink.. also 100% by him.. cos he wanted me to concentrate on my IE revision, yup.. so i leave all these decisions to him and just be a princess...

we watched Inside Man at PS. wanted to watched it at the new Cathay, but the timing is quite screwed up.. and heard from joyce, she also feel that the timing is screwed up, but she insisted that its bcos er.. wat? say they want to target different market eh?? haha.. that stupid timing is just bcos nobody will watch thats y GV they all smart and dun have show at that timing la!

well for the show wise, its quite a nice show... just that if u are someone who dun like to watch show without an ending, you might find the plot's rather fei...... cos like whole thing dunno what is it talking abt... but on the whole its quite exciting.. and i lurrrvveeee trailer.. so i quite enjoy this movie..

after that we went to have a late dinner... hee.. at The Manhattan Fish Market... well its another western food restaurant that somehow has the same concept as Fish & Co... but i managed to find some special dishes and we ordered them.. ordered a Fried Calamari.. ok this one not realli special just that their calamari is real small in size.... then ordered a Fried country mushroom.. this one is special and nice! the sauce that comes with it is good! yummy.. hee.. then for the main course onli ordered one.. and we take the grilled dory... the dory is nice, but the buttered rice is even nicer... hmm.. i think i am getting hungry liao.. shit..

Tuesday

tuesday i messed up all my schedules bcos of my dear tuition kid...
my initial plan was:

12pm: gym
2pm: depart sch to go tuition
3pm: tuition 1
5pm: tuition 2
6.30pm: Home..

then while i was joggin on the treadmil, tuition kid 1's parents suddenly call and wanted to cancel the tuition... so i come out with a plan B...

12pm: gym
2pm: lunch at Jack's place
3.30pm: cut hair
6pm: home....

and off i call my tuition kid 2 to cancel tuition cos if i go onli one of them, i am not tapping on the economies of scale.... muahahah..

but tuition kid 2's dad said: "huh? y u cannot come?? she got tests the whole week leh.."
haiz.... so no choice lor.... but to come out with plan C:

12pm: gym
1.30pm: qin cai lunch
2.00pm: cut hair
4pm: depart for tuition
5pm: tuition 2

and yet......... the salon is closed for renovation and will onli reopen on next wed..... grrrr......

so in the end got to come out with Plan D:

3.15pm: shop at HMV
4pm: depart to tuition
5pm: tuition......

yupp.. tats final...... des nv tried the jack's place student meal, so off we went. ate at the one below citibank beside heeren... haha rem i went there one year ago with corinne and primate.. time flies........ and the menu for student had changed quite alot also.. nicer food now.....

haha initially wanted to take pictures of our food but in the end was too hungry so when our food came, i could think of nothing but eat...... haiz... but ~~stole~~ took some pics from joyce's blog...

Thursday

This day finally went to the Dim Sum buffet that des had been talking abt since last year.....
together with Ivy, Yeeling.... we went to the Dragon Gate Restaurant (if i recall correctly.. hhaa)... weekday onli $12.80 ++ per head...... the dim sum erm... as a singaporean.. i wud say OK.. good..... haha but as a HKer... i think ok...... so so....not bcos not nice....... but variety not alot..... got alot of dimsum not available under buffet.... but nonetheless, its still worth going....

its shocking.... we ordered NINETEEN FREAKING VARIETIES...... yes.... varieties onli..... and plus 4 longs of Ha Gao, 3 longs of siew mais....... i think total we had abt 25 plates of dim sum to finish........

our ~~battlefield~~ table plus ivy trying to siam.... chor..

des "fighting the battle"....

and dunno y everytime.. again and again... whenever eating buffet must resort to play zhong ji mi ma to finish the food..... and felt so guilty and so comfortable after eating finish all the plates.. so long nv eat buffet until so terribe that i was having stomachache till night time......

after lunch, 4 of us, plus jessie, went to ktv.... hee... mini MIC outing...
and realise that the Kbox for student is no more 2-7pm liao! so niao!! its onli ANY THREE HOURS.................. so niao!!!!! then the person suggest us take the K member then can sing until 7pm and order those "other than the normal drinks"...... wth... we are students and y cant we take the students package hur........ well anyway that day everybody gotta leave at ard 6pm, so in the end we took the student 3 hr package.

anyway when des and I were on our way to harbourfront for our buffet, we board the last cabin and i had an idea of taking pics of the railway.. its so nice..... wanted to use it as a background to take a pic with des, but realise that place is too cramped, and we cant see the railway at all.. so in the end i came out of an idea........

haha... hope its see-able..... taking pic of us in the reflection....

des acc me went to Singapore National Eye Centre for my lasik-ed eye checkup.. yippeee.. i am discharged.. finally..... haha and my degree had improved!!

well as for des, good for him to acc me so he could get more info abt lasik.... haha but i think he wanna back out after knowing how much is my check up cost....yup...... just the checkup cost alone........ today spent $63.... for a freaking 1 min consultation with the doctor....

well after that i went to the convo breifing for CCA clubs and des went for his job briefing....

my convo briefing is so fei..... its just a chance for them to recruit pple to the vacant posts..... and after the whole briefing, my conclusion is...... its biases to samba again........ and we could nv involve MIC in such event........ NEVER............

well y biases to samba?? cos this yr theme is SMU beat..... and they say they wanna get a certain beat and wanna give the freshmen 2 chopsticks so they can beat the beat with us....... *sweat*.... i pity this yr's facis.......

well.... des is good man...... he went for his job briefing and got hold of 3 brand new phones to use.... and all exp phone somemore..... the N91, N80 (not even launched yet!!) and 6280... the N80 is good man! the screen i like! so clear... as clear as K800.... and the camera is 3 Mega pixel!! haiz realli like that N80 so much...... but think its gonna be damn exp.....

well.. of cos i wont miss the chance to take a pic using N80!

think cos we took it in the car, so the results not so good.. too shaky..

i guess now i am feeling better compared to yesterday and this morning.

however, i was sadder than what i expected myself to be.

maybe i am lag. which i always was.

huijuan told me that they were holding each other. in a way its comforting cos we know that they were at peace then....

i guess the death really has too big an impact on me.

on one hand, i was glad for them.

they went off together.

with no kids..

and they know where their souls are heading.

and they had left with us good examples and good memories as what our pastor had shared with us today.

and it really wakes me up.

a few days ago, Corinne was still saying that she is afraid of exam period. not bcos of exams, but because bad things always come during exam periods.

just received news today.

i've seen lots of news of accident or disasters on news. but this time its someone deary to me..

i just couldn't accept it.

this is the first time i experience a direct friend leaving me..

yanru is considered my closest elder youth in my church besides huijuan. she's my appointed mentor and had been my mentor since around 3 years ago..

we had been meeting irregularly. its all due to my fault.
despite that, she always made the effort to encourage me everytime and always gives me guildance whenever i need one from an elder. even after she left for Bahrain, we still did "online mentoring" thr msn.

and everytime half way thr chatting with me, around 11pm spore time, she would tell me that she need to go prepare dinner.. and i always suan her go go.. go and be zhu fan po...

and when asked by the mentor leader if i wanted a new mentor, i just dun want.

i love her so much.

looking at notes that she gave me.... theres one i still keep it in my pocket bible.. and everytime when i open it, i would see this note.. and i just read it last sunday... it was given to me after my pow wow smu orientation camp, i remembered i had a bad cough, and she pasted this note on top of a cough lozenges and gave it to me. i was so touched. and i ate the lozenges, and take out that note and paste it in my pocket bible since then.

I feel so regreted for not being able to meet her once during CNY when they came back...

3rd march 2006 is my unlucky day.

this morning when i was brushing washing my face, know what? i accidentally pulled my earring and it fell into the drain of the wash basin....

its not an usual earring.. its a diamond earring given to me by my mum as my 22nd birthday present.... :(

and the wash basin hole is the new kind where the stopper is at the hole there, and it will go down when u want to use it.. my dad go thr a great fuss before getting the whole piece of metal out.. and saw that its stuck there, but its quite deep.. and in the middle of getting it out, my dad accidentally pushed it further down into the water....... doomed......

haiz i got no choice but to call a plumber.. hopefully it can be retrieved by the time i reached home later tonight...

AND.. u think its the end of my sway day?? NO!!!!!!!!!

well then i went to school early today to go for my research study. however, when i reached there at 10.10am, i was told to wait in a room for others to come. its a negotiation study and it must be done with another person. and so I waited. and u know what? I waited until 10.40am and still there's no sign of another participant.... the room is like so damn quiet and a pin drop also can hear.. in the end i really cant stand the silence there and i went out of the room and look for the person in charge to ask how..

haha in the end the person said that i can go and the credit will be given to me.. but i dun have the money/chocolate which ivy they all did by doing this study.. :( and i read that if u got the best settlement, u will get bonus.. dunno is more money or wat.. well i think i can get it cos i did so many cases in my Nego class before. i am sure the prof get the cases from there also... haiz.....

Poly Gathering

yeAh... the blog owner is back once again.

well had been on bloggin hiatus bcos of various reasons..

firstly, theres nothing to blog abt..

second and lastly, i got no time to blog.

but anyway thot that its worth bloggin abt the wonderful gathering with my poly mate yesterday and i think would be nice if i can take a look at this a year or 2 from now...

well.. des's regular meet-ups with his poly mates (well.. he IS doing it NOW too btw..) has always been my motivation to organise gatherings with my grp of poly mates.

but i am that kind who will be worrying abt million of things kind of person...

so organising such a gathering actually requires me to kill many of my brain cells.. i will be worryin things like from.. what to do, what to talk, what to bring, what to eat, what to drink etc..... well u might say that alll these are redundant. but i'm just afraid of gather-failures.

but, lucky that yest gathering was a fun one IN THE END. well at first its kinda leng.. expected.. everyone is indulging in things among themselves again and having small talks among few pple.. and the setting make it even more wierd. we were in a GSR..

yup.. initially i proposed to have a gathering at Mind Cafe. but the aircon there like bit small.. so its kinda warm.. plus its spending money.. and plus its always crowded and noisy... and since we are paying more and more school fees... SO.. i propose to have the gathering at one of the GSR at IS.. must gian peng school facilities more. mian and others non-smu pple welcome this idea cos smu is kinda fresh to them. and why IS.. its bcos IS is easy to smuggle pple in.. and gsr 3.3 at IS has a good view and its big enuff to hold 6-8 persons..

so u can see how much stuffs have been going thr my mind when i organise an event/outing.. must sms pple and email pple to come also.

u may say that i can dedicate. but no one will be willing to receive it... haiz i also dunno i do so much for what...

haiz. whatever......

well.. sianz things aside, lets see what we had on yesterday night at IS gsr 3.3!!

present: me, des, mian, min, joel, leo, ken, zhiwei. too bad warner cant join us. haha its his losses!!

actually i think it was kinda hard to get them to start playing it initially. maybe they think its childish? haha but i think in the end most of them are addicted to it! just see more pics below!

After while, negotiation started taking place.... mian trying to have a deal with me.. joel trying to get land from min.. and then the 3 big boys are negotiating to exchange lands...

haha.. and at this stage, leo, ken and joel end up "quarrelling" among themselves and refuse to continue cos they are holding onto the dices.....

haha in the end i think i play until kinda excited and begin to play standing..

we stayed there until 11.30pm when we feel that theres no more air con coming in...

hee. me counting real money for the pizzas.. after counting fake money for the whole nite. and niao leo showing his 10 bucks dunno for what.....

wow.. i think i din blog for bloody long. haiz.. totally no inspiration to blog recently..

and anywayz,, i am not suppose to blog now. i tink if my dar dar see this he will kill me..

why?? cos i just did a lasik operation!! yeapee.. haha.. but today i feel much better so come in to do a quick update yeah!

hmm.. i did my lasik in china.. it was good... and feeling is great! now i woke up with clear view.. and i can go out late nite without worrying theres some irritating stuff in my eye that i gotta take out before i am doom.

strongly encourage all contact lens user to go for it!! keke.. i did it in china.. so its kinda cheap.. abt $1400 for both eyes.. so i think u add in the air ticket it will be still cheaper than singapore rates... and dun worry that its dangerous or wat.. cos they are super experienced doctors. believe me or not.. that morning where i had my operation, there were 20 odd patient doing it with me. just one morning ok. its a super fast operation, one eye take less than 2 min. and its totally painless.. thou the pain come one day after your operation.. once i pain until i cry.. but now its all over.. but i need to go back for checkups thou... the hospital i went to have ties with the National Eye Hospital (dunno correct or not.. they call it Guo Li Yan Ke Zhong Xin), so you can come back and go for ur checkups here...

well.. now i dun need spec.. nor i need my complete solutions and my un-used contact lens.. i gave my solutions to my dar dar.. and cos his degree different from mine, so he can't have my contact lens.. so anybody out there wearing contact lens of degree 325 or 500? i got 2 pairs each to give away! lol like lucky draw like that... keke..

hmm.. think this is not realli a short update..so i gotta stop now before my eyes got irritated again... hahaha..

btw, i permed my hair.. yeah! i love my new hair. excited to see me?

My 3rd semester proj groups...

this is the finance group which always caused me end up home at least 1am.

seriously i have never stay in sch for project until must take midnight cab home.

Finance is the only project that I got to take midnight cab home. and i end up home at about 1am at least for both projects.

actually not bcos we are not efficient or wat.. in fact we are super efficient. we heed chua's advice and we realli started doing it like one week before. and we end up late cos we started late. we normally started in wierd timings like 8pm. haha

btw, this is a pic with Prof Chua..

Prof Chua is just 4 years old than me can! he is the one standing 4th from the left.. too bad he's married and with a one year old kid.. which Fred always wanted to kidnap.. opps..

good experience with my finance grp..

and made a good friend. same slacker as me... cheri!! haiz.. dunno y she din want to look at the camera.. but she's reali chio lah.. she got nice figure ok! very tall.. and v v slim and long legs.. her legs are realli realli long sia....

My marketing project is the project group that i hang out most with this sem. well although all the proj mates are new to me, but i had a fun time working with them..

Deepavali

today is deepavali and as usual I am back to school for our marketing project. reminded me of a year ago when i also did whole day of project on Deepavali. was doing MA and BGS then. and one year later, i am doing projects again on Deepavali. Let's see next year Deepavali what project i will be doing HAHA!

anyway today started off with a surprise cos Des's LTB grp also having proj meeting at the gsr beside our gsr. we din purposely book side by side, its all coincidence. At first Eileen say want to book gsr 2.17, but then i checked and realised that gsr 2.17 is booked by someone liao, so i suggest to book 2.16, since it has the same capacity as 2.17 and everyone agreed.. well i knew Des is doing proj today at SESS as well, but then he told me his room is at gsr 2.1, but in the end when he reached and call his team mates then he realise their room is 2.17... which is the room we originally wanted to book.haha so all day long des and I have been the entertainment of all our group members. however, not long enuff, we discover another surprise. haha.. its that the desmond eileen always talked about.. bleah.. he's in des's LTB group also. so theres 2 desmonds in that his LTB group.. and we are using those gsr at SESS second level where theres a curve surface at the door there that kind, and one characteristic about this whole stretch of gsr is that its totally not sound proof. so in the end all of us having a fun time teasing one another, and our communication method is just shouting over since our rooms are just side by side.. haha i pity those who did projects near us.

well other than that I am also surprised by the guy ger ratio in des LTB group. there are only 2 girls!! but there are 5 guys!! and des told me that every group in his class have this kind of ratio. well i recalled my own LTB group ratio of 2 guys to 6 girls. hmm.. so this yr cohort is really an extraordinary one.. hehe
